Abby Grossberg — a former Tucker Carlson producer who sued Fox News last week accusing the network of pressuring her into giving misleading testimony about their coverage of supposed election fraud — filed new allegations Monday morning, claiming coercive coaching by Fox lawyers, bias and unprofessional behavior by staff members and retaliation by the network, according to NBC News.
FOX News Media’s attorneys engage in privileged communications with our employees as necessary to provide legal advice.
I don’t think coaching your client’s employees to respond “I don’t recall” rises to the level of proprietary, confidential information. And something, something, crime/fraud exception also, too.
Attorney-Client communications are not the same as proprietary/confidential communications. The former is an evidentiary objection. The latter gets you sued, notwithstanding the lack of any cognizable monetary damages.
Expecting your employees to play ball isn’t always the wisest move.
Yeah, in New York. Expect a partner, a senior associate, and a noob to be in that room. Divide their cumulative hourly rates by 3, you end up with $850, which is substantially more than your mastubatory lawyer-hating estimate of $500.
FOX undoubtedly will petition the court to disallow “witness corrections” based upon frivolous things like “truth” and “conscience” and “ethical integrity”.
FOX will insist that they worked long & hard to get this skewed, distorted & inaccurate testimony into the record … so, “no takebacks!”
