The former deputy attorney general under former President George H.W. Bush’s administration is calling on Attorney General Bill Barr to resign, citing the events of the last week surrounding Roger Stone’s sentencing reversal as the “worst” conduct thus far.
For everyone in Trumpland these words serve as oxygen for their efforts. They exist to illicit these reactions.

Barr’s comment about tweeting was not pushing back against meddling in criminal cases, even slightly.
It was pushing back against meddling in criminal cases in broad daylight.
I guess even Barr isn’t totally comfortable with that just yet.

My wife did the same with The New Yorker. I was kind of surprised when we met that this 35 year old non college grad from Arkansas was reading it. She sill is.
We should have learned by now that trumPP doesn’t give straight answers to anything asked of him. He’ll plate up some word salad on a topic having nothing to do with the question or as he’s already done a few times, ignores the question or says “next” or tells the journo asking the question that he’s rude. Barr’s also become very adept at giving a straight answer as well even in sworn testimony.
Almost always in my magazine rack (and that’s a relic from another day) are the New Yorker and the Atlantic.
