Former Bush administration officials Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice joined fellow White House alums James Mattis, Mike Mullen and John Allen in criticizing President Trump’s aggressive response to protesters in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
The fix is in. The GOP is officially looking past Fat Don and trying to salvage the wreckage–of the Party, and of their own future employability.
And it might work.
Rice responded that she “would absolutely advise against it, particularly at this time.” She later argued that “our military isn’t trained to do this” because it is “trained for the battlefield” and that “this isn’t a battlefield in that sense.”
Yes, I suppose. And how ‘bout it’s fucking unconstitutional, Condi? Huh? How about that?
I’m just going to give you a heads up, a memo, if you will, though I’m sure you’ll ignore it: “Real Americans determined to strike back in November”. Bet on it.
Rice should have gone to prison with the rest of the Bush Cheney cabal.

Condi Rice? To be honest, I hadn’t thought about her in eons. Why is she back now, along with Powell, Bush…hey, they’re getting the old gang back together again.
Point being this seems to be a concerted, orchestrated process. Someone or some group is out to get Trump. It’s not paranoia, Donnie, when it’s real.
I imagine George W stating he will not vote for Trump was a clarion call for other Republicans to follow. And Powell immediately jumped in by shining a spotlight on the complicit Republican Senate. This week could be interesting.
I think the Roberts Supreme Court will get the unmistakable message being sent here.
Looks like it took Mattis to get the snowball rolling. Hopefully, it won’t be long before we will be seeing the avalanche warnings posted. Better watch out Mitch, Barr and the entire GOP cabal it could be heading your way.
He must be reaching the critical mass of targets where he won’t have enough hours in the day to insult them all.
Condi Rice can seriously go f**k herself. When she’s through, she can do it again.
Likely sitting on numerous boards of directors of companies whose products or services they know nothing. It’s a pretty lucrative do nothing existence.
The most overrated person to use oxygen sure does love to call anyone who disagrees with him overrated.
Oh, history will not be kind to Shithead nor to his sycophantic enablers nor to his supporters nor to the media who still try to both sides the outrageous.
And here in the Mid-Atlantic we have another day of perfect weather while Shithead is stuck with his full diaper behind his new baby gate, wailing about not being able to golf. 
I’m not ignoring what they’re doing - we’ve all seen it before and more than once.
I think it’s finally sinking in with a lot of people that they cannot be trusted. But we’ll see once Trump is out.

Usually these signals purported to be precursors of the demise of two-bit wannabe authoritarians like Trump prove to be quite premature, but I hope this time is the real deal.
Colin Powell went public in his support of HRC in 2016 and he said he voted for her. It should be no surprise that Shithead hasn’t won him over in the past 3 1/2 years.
