Defense Secretary Mark Esper implemented new rules on Friday regarding flags that would prohibit displays of the Confederate battle flag on U.S. military property.
Under Esper’s new policy, the only permissible flags of non-American entities are those that represent countries “for which the United States is an ally or partner.”
Trump thinks and behaves like Russia is an ally…
AND
Russia was Trump’s partner in getting himself elected in 2016…
Does it mean Trump can insist on allowing the Russian flag since he is Commander-in-Chief?
P.S.
Esper, we know you were a prop in Trump’s bible photo op in DC…
So what are you doing wrt to Trump’s Gestapo in Portland or wrt to the Russian bounty?
Meanwhile…your boss is busy telling a lie about Biden again and Chris Wallace just called him on his lie!
Trump says Biden wants to defund the police, pointing to his “charter” with Sanders.
Chris Wallace points out the Sanders-Biden task force doesn’t mention defunding police.
Trump, lying: “Oh, really? It says abolish, it says…” To aide: “Let’s go. Get me the charter, please.”
The only perhaps socially acceptable location for a likeness of the Confederate battle flag is when it is imprinted on each individual sheet of a toilet paper roll. It would then be used appropriately.
It’s funny but for all of his iron grip and the transformation and it’s Trump’s party now yadda, all of which you can’t really dispute, people nominally under his control often quietly up and do something that contradicts his loudly brayed desires pretty directly.
“Defense Secretary Mark Esper implemented new rules on Friday regarding flags that would prohibit displays of the Confederate battle flag on U.S. military property.”
“Esper announced the Confederate flag ban will be rolled out first to US military bases that formerly honored Confederate heroes, beginning with recently-renamed Fort Stalin, Camp Dzerzhinsky, and the Putin Naval Air Station.”
Leaving aside the moral abomination of slavery for a minute, the confederacy impoverished itself by the very institution of slavery that the traitors fought to preserve. Money is credit and debt is money. Slaves had no freedom to consume or demand, no freedom to take loans or make investments. No ability to create wealth or money. Narrow minded, selfish plantation owners prevented all the wealth and economic activity that free people living to their fullest potential would’ve created, from existing in the first place.
Because of this whole economy that should’ve existed but didn’t, I believe the slavers were less wealthy that they could’ve been, even in their own time. I have no doubt that the slavers’ economic hole, compounded over the centuries, has left the world poorer today.
So those people in camo kidnapping people in Portland and throwing them in vans won’t be displaying the Confederate battle flag? How about the American flag, and let’s issue each of them a copy of the Constitution.
Come to think of it, everyone involved ought to be carrying a little book printout of the Constitution. They can read the part about lawful assembly, etc. to the guys in camo who are rendering them. How about Constitution face masks? Pick your Amendment…
