Emil Bove Starts Judicial Career With a Sneer

Originally published at: Emil Bove Starts Judicial Career With a Sneer - TPM – Talking Points Memo

One year ago, Emil Bove was a simple defense lawyer for then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. He had represented him throughout the Manhattan criminal hush money trial that led to his client’s conviction, and worked on the two federal cases against the then-former president. After Trump won, Bove became the president’s personal enforcer in the DOJ.…

Hopefully Emil Bove will die before he can do too much damage as a federal appeals court judge.

Not likely. Even though he looks like he’s at death’s door, he’s only 44 years old.

When does Bove not sneer?

Looks and acts like he was cloned from the combined DNA of Stephen Miller’s biological father and Nosferatu. What a schmuck.

He looks like a death’s head.

To do otherwise, he wrote, would be to allow an opinion to stand that “can result in an anti-democratic seizure of power from the People’s politically accountable representatives.”

Um, how could a missing date on an envelope have anything to do with a seizure of power by anyone? The date on an envelope has absolutely nothing to do with a valid ballot inside it. Once the ballot is removed from the envelope, it’s indistinguishable from all the other ballots.

He has never stopped sneering since emerging from the womb, and likely started when sperm penetrated egg at the moment of conception.

The coitus interruptus failed.

With the exception of Hegseth who is weird looking in a different, more dandyish way complete with a makeup artist and the ever present American flag snot rag, Trump only chooses men who are flat out ugly. Bove is only the latest in that parade. Women must look like they spend their days lounging at Mar a Lago as eye candy for really old guys even if they are full on destroyers as evil as the men.

In human years. In vampire years, it’s a lot more.

Can he still be a judge if his face continues to slide down into his truss?

Asking for a friend.

Not one mention of law (in the excerpts, at least) in his indeed sneering dissent. And he tops it off with a completely backward description of who has, and should have, the power in a democracy - not the elected representatives (some of whom, BTW, gamed before and are trying to game again the vote), but the people. And no explanation at all about how the actual vote takes away the (presumably entitled) power from the representatives who got their authority through the vote.

I’ve heard enough. And then some. Impeach this Pete Hegseth of the legal profession.

If a future Democratic Congress (House and Senate) are on the ball, they will be able to find sufficient examples of corruption and malfeasance to impeach many of these Trumpified judges and impeach them out of the federal system. Clarence Thomas (I know, I know) is over-ripe to be plucked from the tree of justice.

We can help by sending information, when we encounter it. Democrats need to realize it isn’t a parlor game anymore. Democratic voters need to support those who do realize times have changed.

Why isn’t a bar complaint pending against Bove? He violated numerous rules of ethics as a Trump regime lawyer. He needs to be driven off the bench before Trump installs him on SCOTUS.

Bove seems to model himself on another Trump lawyer, Roy Cohn.

Ugly, like Cheung or RFKJr, or just sort of unattractive or weird-looking, like Miller, Bovi, Lutnik and Bessent. But by conventional standards, Todd Blanche is reasonably good-looking, and so is Sean Duffy.
