“Take the BIG TAX CUTS NOW…” Fox Business Network host David Asman wrote to Sayegh on April 25, 2017.

Shrub speech writer David Frum:

“Republicans originally thought that Fox worked for us, but now we’re discovering that we work for Fox.”

''Big tax cuts now give the economy the push it needs.”
Forgot to specify that ‘‘the push’’ is in the direction of a cliff. It’s all a big misunderstanding you see.

(And I’ll bet that fucker Mnuchin was involved in Benghazi, too.)

So, we do have a TV-run state, rather than a state-run TV. The Orange Asset does whatever his TV tells him to do, as long as it’s Hannity, Coulter, Ingraham, or one of the other wingnuts. Actual news reporters, like Shep Smith, are ignored.

It is nice to know that the Trump “ministry of propaganda” communicates closely with the Trump “ministry of financial magic.”

Weird how much Mnuchin looks like Jared in this photo. Has anyone ever seen them in them together, or …?

It is indeed remarkable that three decades after “trickle down” first showed its ugly mug, there remains a sizeable contingent who cling to the belief that giving the richest people more money will help out the rest of us.

Personally, I used to go air up my neighbor’s tires every Saturday because his car was bigger, but somehow my tires stayed flat. A real head scratcher.

OT: But why hasn’t TPM picked up the General Electric story yet? I had a relative CPA who worked there for a while and the emphasis on tax avoidance was shocking to her. The constant financial reporting was normal, but the search for grey areas or loopholes was obsessive. Enron-scale frauds are expected to manifest as recession approaches, so this news should be much more alarming than an inverted yield curve.

Don’t worry! Laffer is bullish! Everything is going to be great and all this recession talk is nonsense because Trump!

We’re fucked.
