Elon Bought More Influence Than Me, Bannon Says

After days of telling the world that Elon Musk is a “truly evil person” who should “go back to South Africa,” and that he would “have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day,” Steve Bannon has backtracked. “Look, he’s, the bottom line, he’s not going to be totally out,” Bannon told Politico on…

I don’t own cats. Squeaker only controls one side of the Capitol. Let’s see if Thune falls in line on the Senate side. These guys are all performance and so sad and despicable.

Yes, yes, yes! Josh has it just right.

Bannon is doing a counterpoint con that keeps the cray in craycray. I mean, it works. All the trad Catholic Lenin stuff, some people buy it.

But yeah, that was a quick, cold and delicious comedown.

My takeaway on today’s sham confirmation hearing of Pete Hegseth. He will do Trump’s bidding. Without question. That means the military will be deployed to deport, patrol cities and intimidate political opponents, and violently end demonstrations. He’ll ensure the military are completely politicized to follow the MAGA authoritarian agenda. Hegseth is absolutely going to implement Trump’s fascist plans.

In a perverse sense, Hegseth is eminently qualified for this role.

Look, when you write $250 million worth of checks,

Musk spent money, Bannon spent four months in jail. Not even a close call, loser.

FAFO Bannon.

Keep it up you dirty little man and it’s defenestration for you; figuratively speaking of course, we’re not RuzZia (yet).

Correct.

I see we’ve gotten to the “saying the quiet part out loud” part of the MAGA grieving process.

Bannon sounds a bit like divorced spouse #1, who seethed during the marriage to divorced spouse #2, but decided to really unload on the current spouse, until he got a call from his ex saying that if he didn’t shut up everyone was going to find out about that time Bannon killed a hooker in Cabo.

Which time?

Now that Musk has spent hundreds of millions to buy his way in, he’s now a part of that team. It would explain the cynicism in Bannon’s surprise when he told Politico on Tuesday, “What’s shocking to me is [Musk] doesn’t have much power.”

Awwww. Did Elon get shortchanged by Trump? That’s a shame.

Bannon acts and looks like a bum. There is a reason for that…

I am honestly surprised Bannon is dropping all of this like a scorned spouse. Even if it rankled, I figured he would triangulate a bit on this and make a softer landing. Instead, it sounds like a bit of inner rage is creeping out and we can all see it.

Bannon doesn’t like the idea that he had a use and typical to Trump, was tossed away in the trash when that use came to an end.

“…he’s not going to be totally out…”

Remember, Steve…

The best is yet to come!

Yeah it’s partly because it really didn’t offer anything new beyond an explanation of why Trump wasn’t charged with attempted insurrections. Anyone who paid attention to the 1/6 Committee investigation knew a lot of this already. And partly it’s because so much with Heseth and the fires in LA are going on. The Hegseth hearing is why Cannon delayed the release of the report until midnight Tuesday.

What fun to watch this pissing contest between all these pitiful wannabe macho men.

He got tossed in the first term and sort of tried to scrape his way back by supporting the insurrection but he was a dirty old sock to Trump by then.
