Electoral Politics Are A Terrible Prism For Natural Disasters

That would mean Israel invading Jordan. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, that is so absurd. The idea that charities who routinely provide relief after natural disasters would need help coordinating care from a guy who’s not allowed to even have a charity. When you’re utterly shameless and devoid of any semblance of humanity or empathy, I guess anything is fair game.

Nope, we’d put a whole lot of pressure on them to act. But you know, we’ve cultivated a significant soft-power relationship w/Mexico. Trade deals. Industrial development and IMF bailouts in the 90s to help them stabilize, etc etc etc.

It’s almost like we took the long-term approach under administrations of both parties, and didn’t just knee-jerk around like a bunch of marionettes dancing to a third-party’s tune.

Pity that in the 50 years since actively helping to prolong the Lebanese civil war, someone else didn’t do that with Lebanon, huh? They might have fewer problems now.

Seriously, someone should audit this. I don’t normally mind when he’s grifting from the idiots in his base, but if he’s taking money meant for actual victims, we need to make damn sure it gets there.

I’m sure Walz has heard some pretty dumb things in his 20+ years of teaching, but probably nothing to compare to the dumbassery he’s going to hear from Vance tonight.

No thanks. For twice that I can go to Denny’s to get breakfast and consult with the Denny’s Council of Oracles while entertaining myself with the placemat games and free crayon snacks.

I heard Asheville’s mayor being interviewed on NPR earlier today. Sounded like a tough, level-headed woman. Not one eager to put up with grandstanding from politicians while she’s got a city to recover.

The difference the mice do not have a CHOICE in the matter. Sort of like eugenics on mice.

The key would is CHOICE! We want women to have the CHOICE!

(And yes, I am yelling. For my late wife.)
