Most of the violence and chaos occurred after Convicted felon Trump lost and sicced his thugs on the certification process, believe me if he had lost again, it would have been a nightmare.

Well, I do wonder where that leaves us when Kash Patel and Donald Trump gets hold of the FBI, what will the elections 2 and 4 years out bring?

Will the DOJ be a competent force?

"“You can look at it and say, ‘well, we spent all this money on protection and then nothing happened,’” he said. “Well, how much of what didn’t happen was caused by all the preparedness?”

Yeah. Like Y2K. It was “a big nothingburger” because of all the behind the scenes work, time spent, and money to make sure it would be a nothingburger.

Americans don’t reward policies that work, because they only notice when those policies don’t.

Well violence didn’t show up but ignorance and apathy sure did.

Meanwhile, the Old Guard will still continue running the party.
(accountability is only for Republicans)

There were fires too. The article didn’t mention the MAGAs torching drop boxes and mailboxes.

I get my ballot mailed to me. Once it’s filled out I take it myself to our County Recorder’s office bypassing how many folks vote at a polling place. I’ve never seen a single protestor at our Recorder’s office.

Tdday is the busiest shopping day of the year, when many of the gifts are returned or exchanged. Too bad that elections don’t allow voters to rethink their choices.

What makes you think that those elections will even happen, and if they do they would have any meaning? After all there are elections in Iran and China.

Elections in the US have some built-in advantages, one of which is that each state runs its own election system. That makes it very difficult to rig a national election, due to the complexity of the various systems. Blue states aren’t going to cooperate with any drastic changes to how elections are run.

There is also administrative inertia. The US is just too big an ocean liner to change course quickly and drastically into a fascist state with mock elections like Iran and China. Also, I think the R’s will be complacent now after winning the government trifecta. They’ll think they don’t need to rig anything because the country is behind them.

Gosh, it’s almost as if elections were free and fair and orderly.

2024 election truthers get blocked, no questions asked.

From Trumpers, fascists, and Republicans.

Republicans. They shoot their candidates, don’t they?
