President Donald Trump’s racist attack Sunday telling several Democratic congresswomen to go back to countries they came from (or, in reality, where their ancestors came from) was met with near total silence from top Republican officials on Monday.
No the headline is not “Elected GOPers In DC Silent” rather it’s:
“The Dysfunction of Access Journalism”

And they seemed like such upstanding people, these gop leaders, weird.
In the back of a few GOPers minds, I’m betting they are harboring a secret fantasy to put the hit on Trump to issue in the reign of Pence.
As did Rep. Chip Roy, though he wrote in the same [tweet](https://twitter.com/chiproytx/status/1150607032602390528) that “Reps who refuse to defend America should be sent home 11/2020.”

While Trump is still trying to be the dictator Americans never asked for, he actually is the dictator of the Republican Party. They know if they even whisper one word against Trump, he’ll set up a primary challenge without hesitation. And like craven Paul Ryan and so many others, they’re putting their electoral interests ahead of the country and their own constituents.

It’s funny to me how so many men who ran for office in part because they like seeing their faces on TV and like to share their opinions on things with the world… are desperately afraid of seeing their face on TV and sharing their opinion with the world. Scared shitless of their voters (like a whipped dog!)
