McCarthy needn’t have appointed her to any committee. They did that to Steve King for his ties to white supremacy.

Very little chance that she could do any damage there. It’s not like she or anyone else in that party have any use whatsoever for that committee.
Small Business is perfect
Yes, the letter to McCarthy was truly scathing. It also used lots of polysyllables, so he’ll need someone to break it down for him.
I’m actually somewhat disturbed that there isn’t an education committee. It’s a committee on education and labor. What’s up with that?
Just say that she didn’t pass the prerequisites and can’t take the course, then slam the door, barricade with furniture, call 911, and hope for the best. Use mace only if warranted.
Do you suppose she requested that committee? She’s committed to having people carry guns on school properties, so she may have thought that this was the best way to support that issue.
“Trump GOP doesn’t believe in education”
Why would they after education has utterly failed them?
I fear they have a larger agenda:

I was thinking Science for the same reason. They can’t even see science.
What’s next? McCarthy selects a militia supporter to serve on homeland security.
Chances are that’s already a reality, if not explicitly known yet.
Seems pretty obvious that GOP leadership have come to the conclusion that they cannot win without the MAGA/QAnon set. That means they cannot expel them to go form their own political party, nor can they give MAGA/QAnon voters any cause to withhold their votes.
The Party of Derp is in a death spiral.
If they don’t continue to kowtow to Trump, he’s going to take his base and go home. And they’ll never be able to win a national election again if he does. They didn’t realize that untethering their base from reality meant that someone else might come along and pull them out into his own current.
All these ‘games’ the Republicans are playing will come back to bite them in the … whatever(s). Put your best people on the committees so we can get something DONE you silly fools. Quit trying to make EVERYTHING disfunctional.
Frankly, looking at the committee list, if I had to put this idiot somewhere, I’d put her in House Administration, where she can help oversee the franking privilege.
Except that House Administration has a role in election oversight…
McCarthy needn’t have appointed her to any committee.
That’s what he should have done, because there is no place for her where she can’t do unacceptable damage. Sadly, Kraven McCarthy isn’t even a dull knife in the drawer. He’s barely a knife blank…
Shouldn’t that be “not in the T**** pleasure Dome”? Using dome would generate more memes than dungeon.
Good work by the Democratic leadership to use the Education Committee assignment to highlight Greene’s ghastly history and harassment of victims of these school shootings.
QAnon quackery may not resonate with John and Jane Public, the notion that their kids’ safety must yield to the insane notions of the gun lobby death cult will strike a chord.
Yes, credit where it is due.
Conversely, if Ms. Greene sought out this particular assignment, one can only stand mystified by the calculations of the people who granted it.
Just posted at Political Wire. Nuttier than a fruitcake.

I suspect, “give her a sinecure and just shut her the hell up” ran through the calculus.

This may not have occurred to him!
Or his wife received death threats.
Kevin McCarthy’s voice is going to get higher very, very soon.
