Former Trump attorney John Eastman voluntarily withdrew his lawsuit that sought to block the Jan. 6 Select Committee from gaining access to his phone records, according to a filing late Tuesday.
At some point the cost of fighting all the requests and subpoenas becomes prohibitive, save the lawyer money for the actual trial.
I really hope this means he uses one of those, uh, flip phones.

That’s a very big reason why Cassidy Hutchinson ended up testifying before the committee. She’s not under threat of prosecution but I’m sure the cost of fighting subpoenas for her testimony as a witness to real-time WH insurrection activity became unaffordable for her.

The Feds have his phone so his lawyer now claims since the Committee has allegedly given assurance they just want the call logs and not the content, so Eastman is all good and he is withdrawing the lawsuit.
