Eastman Desperately Proposed Using Georgia Senate Runoffs To Prove BS Voter Fraud Claims

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.

John Eastman emailed Rudy Giuliani on Inauguration Day 2021 proposing that they file more election lawsuits to try to delegitimize the results of Georgia’s Jan. 5 Senate runoffs won by Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. The email was obtained by the New York Times.

I am pretty sure the GOP establishment didn’t want the SC to deep six Roe until after the midterms. I would be surprised if they hadn’t communicated this. The fact the court did overturn Roe suggests that it may have ‘gone rogue’ in more ways than one…

Eastman seeks Rudy’s help collecting $270,000 from Trvmp. Hilarity ensues!

  • “Kansas, which is a pretty red state―it’s hard to find the words. I think people should look at it,” Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) said.

IOW,…

ETA, he called Kansas pretty. :innocent:

“A lot of us have now staked our reputations on the claims of election fraud,”

Staked indeed. But much more like when Van Helsing staked Dracula.

Yes, Alito’s behavior has been incredibly coarse. Dobbs itself is bad history, bad law and bad writing. Alito used a public occasion at the Vatican in Rome to ridicule his critics. He and Thomas are red hots. They’re just getting started.

You may be right, but when you see stuff like the temper tantrum over PACT, which even McTurtle participated in, you gotta wonder how lost they all are in their echo chamber. They had to have known that wouldn’t be a good look (of course, Yertle hadn’t counted on Rafael and his buddy doing a fist bump — worst optics ever) but they went ahead and did it anyway.

Jones’s lawyers accidentally sent a cache of text messages to the lawyers for the Sandy Hook families, I can’t help but wonder how accidentally this really was.

So, Eastman’s motivation was to preserve his reputation and saving face?? That’s hilarious!! How does one defend something someone does NOT have??

The “accidentally sending” isn’t the real head scratcher here. Mark Bankston, the lawyer for the Sandy Hook families, notified Jones’ lawyer that this information was in the shared Dropbox folder — according to TX law, Jones’ lawyers had 10 days to classify it as privileged and they didn’t. So, after the 10 passed, Bankston looked at the document and lo and behold, it’s a treasure trove going back a couple of years. And clearly establishes that Jones has been lying his ass off.

So, you really, really, really have to ask yourself if the lawyer was such a moron (apparently normally not) or if there was some sort of intent behind it.

At any case, after the 10 days have lapsed, it’s no longer classifiable as “privileged” sooooo….

If those six are your pets, you definitely need an upgrade, becca.

I recognize those bastards: they shit (and the males pee) all over everything without remorse. I don’t believe those six can be house broken or litter-box trained.

This is what Eastman should get instead of $270,000!

Even if Rutabaga were able to help, you can be damned sure he’d skim a $250,000 “commission” off for himself.

He took a slap at other country’s leaders too. I guess he is now King of the World…

The Flint Hills are very pretty. The glaciated region (is that called Little Switzerland?) in the NE is pretty. (Actually, I would have happily stayed in Kansas if I could have stayed in Manhattan. I’m glad I got out, although it isn’t clear to me that my now-home of Ohio is an improvement. I miss la tierra encantada.)

The Cheyenne Bottoms, not so much. The big center-pivot aquifer sucker region in the west is pretty boring, too.

This is really the big news. Accidental releases happen all the time, hence the established mechanism to object. The fact that these lawyers let it go forward is amazing. If I were them I’d be on the phone to my malpractice carrier, stat.
