Durham Says He ‘Forgot’ About Key Piece Of Evidence | Talking Points Memo

In a late Friday-night court filing, Special Counsel John Durham made a strange admission: he had already seen a key piece of evidence, in 2018, that he claimed not to have known about until last week.

Durham’s apparent misremembering of Baker’s cell phones comes months after his office filed charges against Sussmann. The revelation raises serious questions about how far Durham’s team went in investigating the Sussmann case before bringing charges, as his team continues to admit in court filings that they have been buffeted by new, easily obtainable evidence post-charging.

Durham never had anything because the FBI was playing by the rules. All he could hope for was some minor mistake that he could try to blow up into a case. Looks like even that is falling apart.

Fuck him for being a puke.

FFS, Garland, yank this clown and shut it down.

I really don’t understand why this clown has been allowed to carry on his investigation. He needs to be shut down and folks at DOJ gotta stop worrying about political ramifications. His investigation is all about politics and everyone knows it. It’s intended to impose a chilling effect on those who would dare investigate the gov’t in power, especially when they are acting in their own self interest and against that of the US and aligning themselves with hostile foreign powers. In lay speak, we might call that disloyalty or ‘treason’.

Durham is an embarrassment to the DOJ. Can we please stop pretending that he’s doing real work now?

It’s time for a congressional committee to subpoena Durham to a public hearing.

There appear to be nothing but bad actors involved with Trump. What a surprise. Garland should shut this down and charge Meadows and Jim Jordan with appropriate crimes.

Bill Barr should be saying the same thing as you just did … and he appointed the guy.

AG Garland is just waiting for Durham to put his case before a judge so the judge can throw it out. That makes it easy to dismiss Durham for incompetence which is easier to justify than political bias or corrupt intent. Durham is making the incompetence argument more viable everyday.

Is this one of those cases where the clock was running out on charging someone with a perceived crime, a crime in Trumpworld eyes? Which by naming a special counsel it gives more breathing space to investigate? No matter that what they are alleging isn’t worth a hill of beans?

The Durham Investigation will not be complete until we find out what’s on Hunter Biden’s Laptop.

Metaphorically speaking, Durham has hair dye running down his cheeks.

IIRC the charges were filed the day before they would expire.

So Durham has admitted that he is incompetent.

When will he admit to the corruption that permeates his work?
