If Biden ends up going through his apparent agreement with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to nominate Chad Meredith, a longtime anti-abortion Republican, as a federal judge in Kentucky, it’s not a sure bet that Meredith will actually get a confirmation hearing.

Not sure if this angle has been discussed before, but there’s nothing wrong with Biden nominating some a-hole, if he understands that the nomination will go nowhere in the Senate. That way, Mitch gets to save face or whatever, and Biden’s choices don’t get stuffed in the bit bucket.

We in America, have some of the cleanest air and cleanest water of anybody in the world. So we’re going to put from the Green New Deal, billions of dollars into cleaning our good air up. All of a sudden China and India ain’t putting nothing in cleaning that situation up. So all that bad air is there. But since we don’t control the air, our good air decides to float over to China’s bad air. So when China gets all that good air, that bad air’s got to move. So it moves over to our good air space. And now we’ve got to clean that back up, while they’re messing ours up."
