Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) officially put an end to speculation that he may run against Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) in 2022 Thursday in a letter to donors.
Clears the way for AZ AG Mark Brnovich, who sees nothing to investigate in the AZ fraudit’s mangling of ballots and their own finances, and totally nothing to investigate when eleven people sign their name to a notarized copy* of their attempt overturn the decisions of millions of AZ voters.
*those eleven people also sent copies to the AZ secretary of state and to the chief judge of the federal court district of Arizona.
If it makes #moscowmitch unhappy, it makes me feel very, very good. Of course, it does mean more loonies will enter the race to the bottom. Hopefully, Senator Kelly can beat them.
I guess the idea of sitting around all day saying No to everything positive for humanity isn’t as appealing as Mitch thinks it is.

In order to recruit quality candidates there must be quality candidates available. The fascistgop, and you mitch, have done an outstanding job of eliminating quality candidates from the cult.
Being a GOP Senator in Moscow Mitch’s Senate is akin to being a high official in a Ukranian puppet government set up by Vladimir Putin. You’re basically just doing Kabuki while more powerful actors pull all the strings.

Unlike TX, though, we do seen to have an upper looney ceiling at the state-wide level.
When Mitt is your paragon of virtue, open mindedness, and honor, things aren’t looking good for a “loyal” opposition.
Mitt was governor, Ducey is a governor, and as the chief executives of a state I would assume the slow obstructionist plan that Mitch has implemented again would be a frustrating waste of time for these guys. Which is what I’m getting from Sununu and Hogan’s decision not to run.
Good news: Internecine warfare within the Republican Party, candidates unwilling to step forward to run for the Senate.
Bad news: The door is open for unqualified, nut case candidates who have a good shot of winning resulting in an even more dysfunctional and hideous U.S. Senate incapable of tending to the nation’s business.
Republicans don’t care about that. In fact, they quite enjoy sitting around saying “no” to humanity. What they don’t like is losing. Over and over again, Mitch’s favored potential candidates have said, “Thanks, but no thanks” because they know they aren’t winning the Senate back. They’re not even pretending to think they might.
For just a moment, I thought this might mean Steve Doocy.

yesssss, but there’s always the concern that they might not win. Blaming MM and senate obstruction can be cover.
“They might not win” is always a factor, but have there been any scandals in either’s terms as governors-excluding Ducey’s?

Going out on a limb here, but it’s almost as if McConnell’s strategy of turning the Senate into the most dysfunctional legislative body on the planet might not be conducive to persuading electable candidates to want to be senators.
