Doug Jones Says He’s Not Worried About Losing His Seat If He Votes To Convict Trump

Though he’s arguably one of the most endangered Democratic senators in the upcoming 2020 elections, Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) said on Sunday that his fragile position won’t affect his vote in the Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

Brave and… good.

Inconceivable!

Nor should his vulnerability as a Democratic Senator from Alabama have any influence on his vote. After all, I don’t think a vote not to impeach would help him at all in this state.

Some things are worth losing your seat over, and this definitely fits within that category. I hope Senator Jones is rewarded for his courage and honor by the people of Alabama.

Meanwhile, over in South Carolina, that tower of sycophancy, Lindsay Graham, appears to have an unexpected fight on his hands. So, who really knows how the political winds will blow? But, in general, people appreciate politicians who make decisions based on principle.

Wow, a politician who values country over party and position.

More please…

When informed of Senator Jones honorable comment, Miz Lindsey retired immediately to his closest fainting couch, and Yertle retreated further into his shell…

“Doug Jones Says He’s Not Worried About Losing His Seat If He Votes To Convict…”

Conversely, his Republican colleagues aren’t afraid of losing their souls if they vote to acquit.

(I’m tempted to call them childish, but that would just get Roy Moore all excited.)

If RoyBoy Moore were to win, he would definitely be the minor Senator…

Democrat Doug Jones says I will vote as my conscience dictates.
Republicans: " Huh? Say what?"

He’ll likely lose anyway. Still, I think Jones always votes with conscience.
Reminder: he’s not a sure yes. In the same interview, he said ttump’s impeachable but there’re dots that need to be connected.

Doug Jones didn’t win his seat by Trump supporters, he won his seat by Democrats, Independents and true Republicans voting for him, not the Trump Cultist.

Any Democrat who can make that kind of comment in Alabama, must have a very strong constitution…

This may actually help him.

I don’t watch those unwatchable Sunday morning political talk-shows anymore, but I’ll bet you my favorite copper nickel and steel penny that not one of these asshole anchors asked any ReThugs, they either had on now or will have on and who are currently in Congress, if they are worried about losing their seats in a purple or blue state, or district, especially any Senators like they did with Doug Jones.

Its so fucking tiring, but of course we’re forced to see everything through the rightwing lens of politics on these stupid shows, because even though they may not be considered as rightwing as Faux News, they still represent the Republican party’s viewpoint and framing as the de facto position on practically every issue, every damn time. Its a false frame but they always focus on how this or anything for that matter will hurt the Dems, even when its the Rs that are responsible for creating obstacles to getting things done for the good of the country through their dishonesty and spite.

With a bunch of cute little minor staffers.

He’s the only Republican who isn’t. Putin is strong in this party and the Russian Mafia is, too.

That’s why I don’t see him being as vulnerable as many people think that he is.
