Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) on Friday recanted his bombastic claim that Democrats’ push for the War Powers Act proves they are “in love with terrorists.”
Flip-flopper. Don’t you just love it when blowhards like Collins step on their (dangly bits) weekly?
Collins, on the other hand, is in love with terrorists based in the US, including some of his supporters.

Say something extremely inflammatory and depraved on Fox News, then apologize quietly elsewhere. But the damage has been done.
Still incredibly shameful and he gets no credit from me, after all, you shouldn’t have to have been a chaplain to know this is wrong. What a despicable human being.
If Collins were really truely sorry, he would have held a presser and apologized, not Tweeted his shitty apology.
Like Trump, Collins runs off at the mouth with no regard for how much discord he creates thereby helping terrorist (domestic and international) and Russia.
Sounds like Dougie needs a few sessions with a TM guru…

I still believe Collins is one of the biggest assholes in the Republican conference, and that’s saying something. Maybe it’s a good thing that he was forced into walking this back, if enough people stand up to these bullies they will no longer be able to act like this, and hopefully will eventually be driven out of office.
He did not apologize until after the yesterday’s vote on war powers. Three of his colleagues voted with the Democrats. One of them was his buddy Matt Gaetz.
Yes, that’s the con: Throw civil bombs and then whisper “sorry” as you leave the wreckage. Such ‘apologies’ are meaningless.
“Let me be clear: I do not believe Democrats are in love with terrorists, and I apologize for what I said earlier this week,” Collins tweeted.
“But they all do want to date terrorists and take them to dinner and a movie.”
