O/T Pretty shook up
My dog (a german shepard) and I were attacked by a out of control golden retriever on our morning walk. I always take him early 6 AM to try to avoid out of control dogs and their ignorant owners We are both OK although I pulled a muscle trying to get the dog off my dog. I ordered some pepper spray. I hate being mean to
animals because of stupid owners but I will protect my dog and myself

The far-right Heritage Foundation — which is the chief group pushing the authoritarian Project 2025 initiative — once heaped
praise on Russian dictator Joseph Stalin for his socially conservative policies.
On the social media platform Bluesky, journalist Faine Greenwood posted snippets from a 2022 post on Heritage’s website by researcher Emma Waters. In the article, Waters — whose bio notes that she works at Heritage’s “Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Life, Religion and Family” — made the argument that the totalitarian Russian leader was pro-family despite his regime killing millions of people.

Oh, gosh, that is so upsetting.
My dog can sometimes be reactive (better, but still working on it) and so I never, ever let her off lead. But I have had others attack her while she’s on lead, so I sort of understand her distrust.
Sigh. It’s never the animals, it’s always the damned irresponsible owners.

Nonsense, the fact that Trump can have the director of the Heritage Foundation fired is proof that there’s no relationship between that organization and the Trump Campaign. And, since that guy’s been fired, clearly, clearly, they’ve abandoned all the ideas outlined in the plan. Boy, now the Harris campaign has egg on their faces.

This is so sexist I want to scream:

After Albright and Clinton (and, well, Rice) served as Secretaries of State, after Harris herself has served so well as VP, after many peers have had female presidents and PMs and none of them were “play toys”, after Trump wrote love letters to dictators like Kim and Putin, and was played for a fool by MBS and Xi, this is just “up is down.” And a spectacularly vile “up is down.”
If Trump/Vance isn’t behind by 10 percentage points by September there is something seriously wrong with this country.

I guess it’s up to us to roast the so-called journalists until they do their damn jobs.
If we can’t roast those damn “journalists,” then we may as well pack it up and give up.
It’s up to each one of us to call out the lies of the criminal ex president and to ask journalists what the hell good are they if the accept lies unchallenged.

You’re not wrong, but look, the fact that Trump is polling above zero at this very instant, the fact that he won the electoral college in 2016, and got, like, 75 million votes in 2020, could, conceivably, be interpreted to mean that there’s something seriously wrong with this country.
