Imagine getting played by the world’s most infamous liar, gambling your whole life on his success, and only figuring it out 8 years later when the liar finally admits his lie so he can gain something.
In recent weeks he’s vowed to send activists to swing states to convince would-be Trump voters to sit this one out.
Do not trust this shit for one second. Donate, volunteer, GOTV, and vote like your life depends on it, because it does. The GOP will have higher turnout than ever, and this time they have several statehouses prepared to throw out the popular vote so their GOP lege can simply appoint Trump.
Dems are still on track to lose, because the entire system is stacked against us so badly that a Garbage Candidate has a floor of 47%. It is Organized Money’s contest to lose. So make them lose it.

It would be great if this actually happened…if the extreme right wingers don’t vote for Trump, he will lose badly, and drag down the rest of the Republicans because those votes will also be missing. It would also mean that the right wing will lose power in the Republican party, so maybe the government would start to function again as rational Republicans take power again. Though, I’m not sure that’s possible anymore, so many have gone over the edge, whether they believed it or not, so it’s hard to say how many rational ones are left.
This will get ugly though, people like Fuentes are going to be very angry and feel like they have been betrayed and their entire world turned upside down. Some people will act out when that happens…hopefully it remains verbal, but at least some may become violet over it, especially if they feel totally unmoored and have been convinced through the propaganda that this is the worst thing, civil war, etc. Maybe most can be talked back into the real world, but that’s going to take a lot of work and patience by those of us who are fed up with their shenanigans.

If this happens, it won’t be because white racists cool off. The reason there are no sane Republicans in elected office is because 12 years ago SCOTUS unleashed unlimited dark money on elections, and ultra-rich folks immediately stepped in to drive the GOP to the far-right.
Groypers may be disillusioned, but Organized Money is going to continue buying elections for popular arsonists as long as government still tries to help regular folks and as long as John Roberts gets to pervert the Constitution to privilege dead white money over living democratic people.
