Don’t Eat Horse Meds To Treat COVID-19 | Talking Points Memo

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is pleading with people to stop using ivermectin, a drug for horses and other animals with parasites, to treat COVID-19–a thing that’s actually happening.

And yet the resistance lives on

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) sent a “Dear Colleague” letter on Saturday to House Democrats laying out her plan to have both the bipartisan infrastructure bill and Biden’s expansive “Build Back Better” plan passed before Oct. 1, when the infrastructure bill is slated to go into effect.

October 1st…so they have their marching orders. The moderate House Dems should be happy if it only takes a month to get this all done. And everyone needs to remind the country every day how long the GQP Senators dragged their feet before passing the “bipartisan” part of the bill.

I hear massive doses of arsenic and strychnine work even better than ivermectin.

Don’t worry, the ones who’ll listen to Tucker over the FDA will cull themselves, one way or another.

I didn’t cry over Phil Valentine’s death as he was on the air promoting the ivermectin “cure”.

When I studied Anthropology in college, I used to marvel at the weird rites and practices of ancient cultures. Now, I see bizarre belief systems and practices being developed in real time in what is supposed to be the most advanced nation on earth. The desire to follow a ‘strongman’ and to believe myths and conspiracy theories must be hard-wired into human nature.

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable.

They refuse to get the vaccination but are willing to take horse dewormer. That’s a special kind of stupid.

They forgot part:

SARS-CoV-2 is not a worm.

I first heard this yesterday and I didn’t believe it. I used to believe, “Yeah, there is intelligent life in the Universe. We are a constructive existence proof.” I don’t believe that anymore. Now I think, “Maybe there is intelligent life in the Universe, but we aren’t it.”

Ivermectin and it’s family of drugs are not approved for use in human beings. Most of the yak about them is as “horse meds” but chances are if you have a dog you use it monthly as a heart worm preventive. The drug is relatively safe in so far as is mechanisms of action but in horse preps ( 1000 to 1400 pound animal ) the concentration of it exceeds what is known to be toxic in people.

It has no effect on viruses.
