David’s words about the rule of law really hit home for me. Hammurabi’s famous code has a preamble that explicitly references the king’s duty, and the role of his law code, to care for the widows and orphans. It’s a common theme in European history too: government exists to protect the weak.

One tiny difference here…
Trump did it secretively, with several middle-men doing his bidding, expressly stating the extortion intent, and demanding something in return for the release of the money.
Biden put forward a policy, himself, completely in the open, as president of the United States.

Sheesh. What nobody mentions in all these shocked reports about Bible-thumpers and Trump is there’s undoubtedly a homosexual subtext in all this stuff, just as there is in militant fascism (e.g. Ernst Röhm and the SA):

That is easy really, you cannot be prosecuted for going to Nevada to gamble and hire prostitutes even if it is illegal in your state.
