Dominion Voting Systems filed a massive defamation lawsuit against Fox News on Friday morning for boosting ex-President Donald Trump’s evidence-free accusations that their ballot counting tech was fraudulent.

If Dominion does nothing but damp down the right wing noise machine, they will have performed a singular service for the country.

Perhaps Faux will use the Tucker Carlson defense that they’re not news, they’re entertainment or the Kraken’s current defense.

The three person Board of Stark County Commissioners in Ohio rejected the purchase of more than 1,400 new Dominion voting machines. The county’s Board of Elections had recommended the purchase, but the three members voted to withhold the money for the purchase following pressure from supporters of former President Trump, who falsely accused the machines of manipulating vote tallies in President Biden’s favor.
I hope Powell, Giluliani and Fox all lose bigly because of their complicity in the false accusations of voter fraud and the cloud of mistrust of Dominion’s voting machines.

Unfortunately, their viewership will hear from Faux News that Faux News is being sued for having an opinion and defending t**** for having a strongly held belief. And…they will fall for it…again.
So I have won an objectively improbable jury trial on behalf of a business entity alleging defamation.
Fox News should view this lawsuit as an existential threat. Because it is.
I hope Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Tucker Carlson are named in the suit.
I think they are suing the small fries for publicity, as a cautionary tale for next election but maybe also to get them to flip on Fox News. Maybe some hosts talked about this was all bullshit, but great for ratings.
Fox could lose this suit and be forced to pay the entire settlement, and it would be akin to one of us losing a quarter in the wash.
I would also like to hear their testimony and see the snippets on the national tube.
Particularly where they have to answer for discovery.
