It just occurred to me that presidential pardons probably don’t cover civil lawsuits and there are probably a helluva lot of potential ones.

You’re right: they don’t.

They cover only “Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of impeachment.”

Well file that suit, Dominion.

They should name each and every one of those who have spouted the lies joint and severally.

It pleases me that someone will, metaphorically, try and break Donnie’s tweeting fingers and stick a fucking gag in his foul mouth.

Trump was no more acting in his “official capacity” in bashing Dominion that he was when he called E. Jean Carroll a liar. And the Constitution’s Speech and Debate Clause protects only members of Congress.

So have at it, Dominion. You can probably show actual economic harm from Trump’s statements. Good luck to you in collecting the money damages, though.

In today’s climate, the precedent of a finding against Donnie may be enough to smooth out a lot of edges.

Sue the fuckers all the way to Gawkerville.

They could just ask a judge to garnish Trump’s Buy-It-Now pardon sales on Ebay.

(Or at least proceeds from his Pardon Challenge Coin sales.)

They might want to lock down a win with Powell and Jules first…

Dear John,

There appears to be a consensus here: Hammer the motherfucker and make him squeal.

Thanks in advance.

They ought to go ahead and add him to the suit now in my opinion. They have a really good cause of action against all of them.

I’m for it just for the discovery phase…

Hijinks ensue…

The board of directors has to vote on it…

And they’re not sure who to have count the ballots.

No potential, just do it along with at least 100 others on 01/21/21.
Do onto to Trump what he has done onto us.

Yes please! Let’s finally get down to it. The torrent of legal actions against him is gonna be fascinating to observe.

He’s going to be so fucking busy ducking service and fighting lawsuits he won’t have time to even think about anything else.

Why wait until Jan 21 - defendants will have 20-30 days to answer anyway, but Plaintiff can start discovery now and obtaining court orders to not discard documents. So, best to start NOW. Plaintiff can always amend complaint. Anyway, this will give Trump something to do in his retirement.

Noting that Poulos has fled to Toronto for safety.
