The Pelley firing is a stark reminder that Trumpism will live on long after he’s gone. Bari Weiss is but one person, in a long line of people, dedicated to destroying our institutions. What I don’t understand is why. She was a propagandist long before she was up-jumped to her current position. The malevolence with which she has attacked common decency defies explanation other than the most obvious. Like Stephen Miller or Megan McArdle or Sam Alito, etc., she appears to be a sociopath.

I suspect he’d point out that the more appropriate quantum mechanical metaphor would be a photon. You can model it as a particle or a wave, depending on what you’re trying to do with the results, but it’s neither and both.

Netanyahu has been desperate to keep Israel in a state of war to avoid an election defeat that would resume prosecutions that have been paused during wartime. Have not been following internal Israeli politics. What outcome could be expected from an election in the fall, given the perpetually fractured state of Israel’s multi-party system?
