The Justice Department moved to seize the U.S. assets of a Ukrainian oligarch on Thursday who has sought to fuel the Trump administration’s quest for dirt about Joe Biden.

Tomorrow Cockholster will say the US seizing the assets of Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky is “a very terrible thing.”

This a prelude to a resignation in the next 22 hours?

It’s pretty obvious he was peddling his disinformation to the Trump administration in order to get a quid pro quo deal that killed the investigation of him. And, if he had actually brought the goods it might have worked…and it still might, Trump and Barr could shoot the whole thing down, or promise to do so after the election, of he comes up with something to hurt Biden.

That last sentence is pretty sad, it’s really hard to see we have fallen so far that a corrupt deal with a foreigner being used to sway the election and get out of an investigation seems like a real possibility instead of something out of a Clancy novel.

“known for ruthlessness and even violence that inspired loyalty,”

Yeah, I can see the DOJ now confusing fear and loathing with loyalty after three years of Trump. Give them a few more years and they’ll define justice as tyranny.

The Russian Mafia hood needs to have his knee caps broken and then indicted.

This. Is. Interesting. What is Billy-Barr up to? Charging Trump’s ear-whisperer with Dirty Deeds? Stealing BILLIONS from a bank you own…?
If you own the bank it’s your money anyways…Isn’t that the thinking of Crooks everywhere?

Has LowBarr finally figured out taking the center box first?

Whose?

Someone at the DOJ who doesn’t know who they should be turning a blind eye towards?

Interesting. I guess there still is a portion of the DoJ with integrity, that Barr hasn’t yet brought to heel. I haven’t heard much of him since his House hearing. Also haven’t heard much about his follow up Covid test after his close encounter with that moron, Gohmert. I wonder what evil he’s been up to.

One’s looking forward to a future career. Some may have calculated that Trumpism isn’t forever.

Maybe all these investigation announcements are about making them public record well before Labor day and the tradition of avoiding politics within a certain time frame of the election. What is it 60 days?

Well played

Thank god. This will discredit him with everyone but Republicans.

Whoa, hold the phone here! Isn’t Kolomoisky Ukrainian president Zelensky’s presumed benefactor? Was he not the man underwrote his campaign? There are so many ways to try to interpret this in a Trump administration.

The Federal Attorney in Ohio could be acting within his mandate and bringing an investigation to a proper judicial recourse while expecting the opprobrium of Barr; the FA could be doing this at the behest of Barr as a retaliatory measure against both Kolomoisky and Zelensky for failing to deliver juicy, made up goods against Biden; the FA could be doing this at the behest of Barr/Trump as intermediaries to Putin’s wishes to strike at Kolomoisky and Zelensky; or this could all be an orchestrated movie to pressure Firtash.

And these are just some possibilities that come to mind. Sadly, these are the off-the-wall ideas one has to explore because under Trump, the administration of justice must be presumed as compromised.

a) This article reminds me. Whatever happened to Parnas and Fruman?

b)

“Take such a great country, which all of a sudden cares about such a small, worthless person, like Kolomoisky — what kind of logic is that?” Kolomoisky added. “So I think that it’s all a conspiracy theory, and that after the change in power in the West, there are no real charges against me.”

That sentence reads like he learned English from Donald Trump.
