Un-fucking-believable. But not surprising.

By the way, Santoro was appointed acting chief immigration judge in May 2018.

The fish rots from the head. In this case, you don’t need to look further than Bill Barr to find the source of the problem.

I feel like this administration is following the Basil Fawlty rule of thumb - Don’t mention the war.

In this administration, up is down, fiction is truth, and useful information to darker-skinned people is bad.

Nothing new here.

I wish this were a bigger story, because it’s the essence of the problem. Trump’s insanity is guiding the actions of the entire federal system, and Trump has no interest in saving lives or containing the disease. His only concern is concern about it and that concern’s effect on his political fortunes. Nothing. Else. Matters.

They were hoping to find themselves some scapegoats in immigrants.

Most likely another Stephen Miller idea just after he pulled the wings off of flies. “Take the COVID-19, health posters out of the immigration courts”
Wrings hands “excellent!”

Wait, so we don’t want immigrants to die a needless, hideous death? I wish our government could agree on one message in this area. Having to constantly shut down my empathy and then turn it back on is getting tiresome.

There are no words. There simply are no words.

Wonder what other parts of the government are currently botching their responses in order to help downplay the risk.

For example, with it starting to spread in the D.C. area, would seem a great time to send most people to telework, if the feds did that, would take a LOT of commuters off the streets.

But no sign of them proactively taking steps, guess they’ll wait until a bunch of feds are getting each other sick, then belatedly take action.

What the ever-loving f***.

I get that they don’t care about brown people getting sick or dying, but those brown people come into contact with Donnie’s beloved white people and — guess what — humans can all spread viruses around, regardless of skin tone.

Asses.

I am missing the point of the judge even doing this - is it simply “don’t publicize” - kind of bewildered.

I do know that patient zero for stupidity is Trump.

The attempts to position novel coronavirus as the “co-foreigner-virus” took a pretty serious ding thanks to CPAC. (Excuse me for a moment while I giggle uncontrollably.)

(Whew. Now, where was I…?)

WIth every passing day, Trump is looking less “Messiah” and more “Pharaoh”, in ways that are getting harder and harder for all but the hard core cultists to ignore.
