DOJ Cancels Service That Sent White Nationalist Site Link To Immigration Judges

The Justice Department canceled the service it has with a news clippings company that sent a link to a white nationalist website to immigration judges this week, Politico reported.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://talkingpointsmemo.com/?p=1244565

Hell, if you want white nationalist stuff just retweet it off the Trump family’s Twitter feeds, there’s all you need right there.

never heard of these guys, but they are mentioned in the Politico article…

The news clippings were compiled by TechMIS, a private company based in Florida.

Here is their website…

and apparently, not only do they provide clipping services…they do this…

interesting, eh?

Just like cockroaches, bad deed-doers scatter from the bright light of the truth.

Is it any wonder Trump is scared s#itless?

That bright light is scanning, still, but eventually, his deeds will also be exposed.

You got caught. Pure and simple. You can’t cover your tracks. Resign.

Clipping service. Degrading Adversary Performance. Wonder what kind of search turned up that story. And what else they turned up. And why with multiple powerful search engines that can do advanced watches they need these folks. Oh, right, boas against CONservatives. Hence the supremacist “find.” Nice to see what our tax dollars are being spent on iby this "drain the swamp con of an administration.

This can only happen if the people making the decisions are looking specifically for “news services” that only tell a particular version of the “truth” - you want to talk about deep state?

I remember hearing eons ago that Dick Cheney only wanted FOX news playing in any room he was in. I am sure this bar has actually been shoved lower in the Trumpocene era.

Read their clipping product brochure with this language:

"Automated news harvesting platforms have flooded the market. While helpful, these platforms deliver a barrage of unfocused, irrelevant news creating proverbial “garbage-in, garbage-out” news products.

TechMIS analysts also utilize these advanced technologies, but consider them just one tool in a toolbox of news monitoring techniques. Our analysts collect relevant news using a layered, multi-faceted collection approach. Techniques include state-of-the-art news harvesting engines, hand checks of critical sources and even hands-on paper copy reviews of select newspapers. This layered “human touch” ensures relevant news is captured in its entirety.

So much for their human touch to eliminate “GI-GO.” Sounds more like they found the exact kind of stories DOJ was interested in. They just got caught.

here is part of how theydescribe their methods....

in other words, there was a 'human touch" involved in sending this crap out to immigration judges…

and this is a link to the Vdare blog post that was apparently the one that lead to the complaints.
(although I don’t think its necessary to click on the link itself)

and it is a blog post — including personal attacks on immigration judges; its not “news” as such. Here is a particularly noxious taste…

Note the #Lugenpresse headline. “Outspoken” tells the reader much. It means that there is an underlying political issue, not only with the decertification, but the motive for resisting the desertification. And the politicized kritarchs of the EOIR instantly admitted the issue is not management, but what the judges are doing, and what they think they should be doing, which is aiding illegal aliens.

Note–“Lugenpresse” is german for “lying press” and was used by the Nazis in the same way that Trump now uses “fake news” to discredit legitimate journalism. “Kritarchs” are basically “activist judges” (literally, a greek work meaning Judges who rule).

And as with most blogs, there are links to other news stories on the page – and those stories, of course, have the same racist Vdare perspective…

In other words, this outfit apparently had someone who saw this anti-semitic/racist crap, and considered it “news”. And while there is no way to know what services this company provides to them, here are some of TechMIS’s other clients…

Clients include US Cyber Command, the US Special Operations Command, US Department of Justice (DOJ), US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), US Department of Labor (DOL), US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the United States Marine Corps, General Services Administration (GSA), US Veterans Administration, Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), Eaton Corporation, Boeing, NASA, Booz Allen Hamilton, Gemini, and the Moby Media Group.

  1. I wonder how long TechMS has had government contrats?
  2. Who authorized the contract for DoJ-EOIR?
  3. Who at EOIR was suppose monitor/approve their content that went out weekly?
  4. Now that EOIR has ended their contract who at these other government agencies is monitoring the newsletters that TechMS produces for:
US Cyber Command, the US Special Operations Command, US Department of Justice (DOJ), US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), US Department of Labor (DOL), US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the United States Marine Corps, General Services Administration (GSA), US Veterans Administration,

“We have determined that the sampling was over inclusive and contained non-news
sources,” Mattingly told Politico in a statement. “EOIR strongly condemns anit-Semitism and white nationalism. Those hateful beliefs do not reflect the views of EOIR employees and the Department of Justice.”

It took awhile after the first report.

Guess they had to get the next 10 newsletters content before they broke ties.

Is anybody besides me wondering where all these racists, bigots, and shitty people came from? I mean we were all here for the 8 years that Obama was in office and there was hate but the level of hate and vitriol spewing forth from all the country is amazing to me. Is this what Trump really meant when he said he “Was the Chosen One?”

Oh and let’s not forget all the stupid and the ignorant ones.

You’ve probably heard of the dark web…

Many of these techniques were used by actual NAZI’s back in the day. Given that two of Trump’s advisors are actual NAZI’s that play dressup and everything, it shouldn’t be surprising that they know where all this stuff is and how to apply it to “governing”.

Um, are you really sure about that? I don’t doubt that the career employees feel that way. But, have you actually asked some of the recent political appointees?

The modern republican party really is a big tent. Bigots and haters of all kinds are welcome.

Okay, so that means they’ll restart with a new name and promptly land a no -bid contract for the same “service”, right?
