Oh fuck—Lamberth FFS? That dingbat basically created Larry Klayman.

So which is it, lies? Or classified truth?

Place your bets!

What was it that Roberts wrote in his opinion yesterday? That they had failed the essential requirement for “reasoned decision making” ? And that their reasoning seemed “pretextual”?
It would be awesome if the court just provided a photo-copy of yesterday’s opinion and used a sharpie to update the language for this.

Banned for Bolton. More free publicity.

Having a name that is synonymous with overpriced luxury cars is what we call a context clue.

Tell me lies, sweet classy lies.

This is, of course, the right answer. Because they’ll lose in court and have no other option.

I’m going with classified lies. Who can argue against that kind of logic?

This joke was supposed to die with the Soviet Union.

A man was arrested after running outside “capital building” shouting at the top of his voice “‘beloved leader’ is an idiot”. He was tried and sentenced to 6 months imprisonment for disturbing the peace, and 19 and a half years for revealing State secrets!

If you’re in the room where it happened you could not just report on sights and sounds, but what things smell like. Is Trump like an old person who tries to cover up the smells of decay with lots of perfumes or eau d’toilette? Maybe it smells like isopropyl alcohol or bleach, given Trump’s germ fear?

Is it in the judge’s power to summarily dismiss the case after today’s hearings?

If Depends come in extra strength odor-control, that’s what Trump smells like.

I’m a bit surprised that the DOJ even got a hearing, but I suppose that on something as high-profile as this they were going to.

I’m puttng my money on the phrase “the horse is out of the barn” being uttered in the first five minutes.

Does anyone know if this is being broadcast somewhere? I don’t see a link here on TPM and I’d love to listen in to hear the government’s twisted logic.

The bar for using national security threats as a reason for preemptively blocking one’s speech (the legal term is known as “prior restraint”) is extremely high.

Because they have to show that something in the book was actually classified, rather than claiming “Wow, you are one stupid Mutha” is?

Thanks Barr and Trump for making Bolton’s book number 1 on Amazon and Trump’s niece’s book (which drops July 28 - I just bought it in presale) number 2.

The very obvious motive is not necessarily to shutdown the publication of this book - if that happens it will just be gravy - but to intimidate the writers of the other potential tell-all books. It will definitely shutdown a lot of the younger people who have a lot to loose in terms of their careers.

That is how democracy dies, a bit by bit.

Just so I understand this: When it comes to publishing a book, courts can move very quickly to resolve the matter, but when the Senate or the House needs an individual to testify this “Administration” can drag it out for months or even years?

Sounds legit.
