Harrison Beacher feels a little worried for some of his clients. The DMV-area realtor and Washington D.C. native has worked in real estate for nearly two decades, but saw his worst two months ever in January and February of this year. Housing markets can be volatile from month to month, influenced by everything from changes…
There is really not a hot enough circle of hell for this jerk. Apparently making billions of dollars is not enough to educate oneself. He is a ketamine-addicted ignoramus, given the opportunity to destroy entire departments of the federal government by Der Pumpkinfuhrer. FSM, save us all!
absolutely. bc of this guy i’ve got a depressed 25 year old living in my basement not being able to find a job after being DOGE’d. i hate EM with the burning intensity of a thousand suns.
He and his little shits can burn in Hell forever
This is a small story, not worth the read. It should also be pointed out that most Americans are not from DC and see this story as a positive.
What the story needs to be IS NOT what it is costing individuals who lost their jobs and the effect on the BIG GOVERNMENT CITY.
What the story needs to be IS the loss of the services and functions the Government was doing but thanks to DOGE are not doing.
To be sure, DOGE is not the first time Republicans gutted Government programs and services to give tax cuts to people like Elon Musk. In 2001, George W Bush did the exact same, gutted government programs to give tax cuts to billionaires.
I know this personally because I working for the Government and was assigned a termination claim by a company doing repair and maintenance work on levees protecting New Orleans.
The result of what Bush did was that the levees were NOT maintained and when needed most broke doing much more damage and costing the Government much more than all of Bush’s cuts to services to fund tax cuts for billionaires combined.
But Bush and Republicans never had to pay a political price for their reckless gutting Government programs and services to give Elon Musk a tax cut. The result of Republicans not paying a political price for Bush doing what DOGE and Trump did is that DOGE and Trump repeated Bush’s actions, gutting important Government programs and services to give Elon Musk a tax break.
That is we need to make Republicans pay a price for what they are doing and to make Republicans pay a price for what they are doing, while it is much harder research and reporting, the story needs to be about how DOGE cuts are hurting America the way Bush’s cuts resulted in the destruction of an American city with much loss of life.
I worked at the NCTC for about a decade and was finally able to secure a Federal job which was a dream come true! Thought maybe I would be spared because of the intel line of work until 13 May arrived where I was escorted out of the building before meeting with head of HR who said my trial period was being terminated (despite just recently being handed a terrific 6-month review and winning a team award). She handed me a menu of options be fired, resign or take the DRP. Of course I took the DRP. I was then escorted out of the building without even being able to gather my belongings. My colleagues thought I was joking when I said to them what was happening.
I have PTSD. I loved my job and mission for the entire decade I was there. I have a clearance which helps but still, it’s not the same. We were supposed to move but can’t. Don’t think we’re taking a summer vacation and have no idea how to tell that to our 6 year old.
It’s so unbelievably depressing to say the least. I don’t know if I will ever be able to fully process what happen to me and thousands of others. Just so pointless.
I am that guy but 45 years old! haha
Please define the acronyms, as a Californian, DMV means Department of Motor Vehicles.
Let’s not forget his child soldiers, the DOGEboys. They moved fast and broke a lot of people’s lives.
Indeed: I think DMV is a term used in the D.C. area only. (I had to look it up, and I’m a political scientist who has followed politics–but never lived in DC—my whole life.)
It means that in DC as well. It also just happens to be initials for the three jurisdictions that form the DC metro area (DC, MD, VA). I lived there for over 20 years, and it at times confused me. And don’t get me started on the “Delmarva” peninsula

False either/or. As your own story, which you tell in another comment, reveals. We all need to hear stories from both perspectives, that of the government employees who have lost their jobs and that of the public that has lost the benefits of their work.
