Documents Reveal How Trump Lawyers Sought ‘Chaos’ to Force SCOTUS to Anoint Trump

I should hope that Mr. Kovensky’s standards are high enough that he’d never stoop to working for The NY Times.

a) Because he’s doing his job reasonably well and you cannot reasonably expect Jack Smith or whoever your fantasy nominee is to get confirmed to the position.

b) Because it takes a lot of time and manpower to figure out and charge a criminal fuckin’ conspiracy where the dude in charge famously doesn’t take notes, and this shit only got charged six months ago and is already in front of the goddamn Supreme Court.

Consider, for half a moment, the overwhelming likelihood that trump would have prevailed if he had been charged in February 2021. You go to trial with the case you have, not the case that could have been developed.

That’s just lazy plagiarism, what lawyers do best.

These guys should have been trying to get laid instead of studying in college.
The world would have been a much safer place.

When he’s dropping out?

It was supposed to be NH, but he became part of an exclusive club and those delegates are still waiting on him.

It’s easy to say, “aNyonE cAn bEAt tRumP”, yet President Rubio is on Earth 3.

I guess the Cheesbro and his ilk were relying on the precident of Bush v. Gore. Get something in front of the Supreme Court and the Court will go for the party of the majority. In this case it would back Trump. So this entire Jan. 6 shitshow boils down to the belief by younger Republicans in DC that the Supreme Court is fundamentally corrupt and only interested in doing things that help the Republican party.

If Cheesbro is right, American democracy is fucked. It is just a matter of time before a real authoritarian takes over.

SCOTUS had multiple opportunities to intervene in the election and it passed on every single one of them. These deluded idiots were just incapable of taking no for an answer.

From msnbc…

"Recent campaign disclosures filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) detailed Donald Trump’s political action committees’ (PACs) expenditures in 2023, providing some stunning information: Two of his leadership PACs, Save America and Make America Great Again, spent more than $50 million total in legal expenses, $29 million in the last half of 2023 alone. Save America, which is “the primary vehicle to pay Trump’s legal expenses,” according to NBC News, spent $21 million in the first half of 2023, with over 47 law firms and attorneys the recipients of funds, per its FEC filing. The PAC’s previously reported spending around $16 million through 2022 on legal expenses. That’s a huge bump in legal spend in just one year alone. "
… … … … …
47 law firms? That is a lotta lawyers

Yes, they had 60 some “clean” options to choose from, but the last-ditch, messy, chaotic option, that was the one they were going to spring for!
