Given the apparent production of micro-clotting due to COVID-19, I am curious about the recent INR values for readers here who take warfarin/coumadin as a “blood thinner”. If you fall into this category, have your recent INR measurements been lower than usual?

If you unknowingly have COVID-19 and are asymptomatic and are taking blood thinners for other issues, then I would expect your INR scores to be lower given the apparent increase in clotting due to COVID-19.

Yes, my measurements have been lower for the last 6 contiguous weeks, and I’m an anomaly in that they have vary rarely varied from the center of my acceptable range. There are a lot of parameters that could cause a variation, so causality is difficult to establish.

1% is a reasonable estimate for death rate if we’d actually counted all those infected so far (including asymptomatic), so it’s the right rate if we want to extrapolate to most of the population.

The google tells me there are currently 377 employees in the West Wing of the White House, so given their closely packed work environment and their absolute disdain for preventive measures, we can assume at least a couple are going to die?

I know the mortality rate is higher the older you get and at least some of those employees are on the younger side (does that college senior work in the WH?) and I’m perhaps a tad zealous in assuming 100 percent infection, but it’s certainly plausible that somebody’s going to take it for the team here.

And then we have Pence’s folks over in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building out spreading things to the Senate and Beyond…

He is batshit insane. This has been clear for quite some time. How much he’s doing on purpose is difficult to tell, because he’s a creature of impulse and immediate gratification. It’s all the people around him who are enabling him who I think we can guess are doing it on purpose.

That is the rate for known cases, which is some fraction of the total cases. We are underestimating the number of deaths caused by COVID19 and vastly underestimating the number of infections. Of course, we would have a much better estimate of the number of actual infections/recoveries in the population if we had adequate testing. Trump does not want the actual numbers to be known so he can keep beating the drum to open things up so the economy will recover before the election. Only a f%^&ing moron would believe that the economy could recover that soon, but there it is.

And there are a bunch of them buying stocks like it all will be sunshine and unicorns fairly soon.
