One might conclude that Ron DeSantis, like DJT, actually enjoys being an asshole.

No matter how many women die or are permanently damaged, these laws won’t change. The first time a doctor is sued for malpractice, the other OB/GYNs will flee the state, leaving women in even more medical risk.

Vote! Because lives depend on it.

There are no laws which ban specific medical procedures for men.

My biggest question in all these states is why are the medical associations, women’s groups, nurses, and more not out there educating, educating, educating on what constitutes pregnancy care today - that the D&C you got during a miscarriage is an abortion, that the termination you got for a non-viable fetus was an abortion, that the ectopic pregnancy that was excised was an abortion. Too many men and women think abortions are only for sluts that didn’t think before having sex.

Women in reproductive age and gynecologists ought to do what persecuted groups have historically done: Migrate.

For doctors it’s super easy to move as there is a shortage of them pretty much everywhere. It will be fun seeing companies relocating from Texas and Florida, to Michigan and New Mexico because employees can’t find gynecological care.

I’m trying to think of a time or place when a doctor had to disregard the training and practice that they had previously done.
What has been reported here in MO is that our infant mortality rate has increased since a near total abortion ban was enacted. So I guess we will see this reflected in other states with abortion bans.
The other thing I haven’t seen address is what is are the states doing to prepare for this influx new babies? Are they refiguring how much state money will be needed to support all these newborns? Have they created a plan to beef up the state’s welfare for new mothers and their kids? How’s the foster care system doing? Child Protective Services, do they have enough resources?

The only way things will change is if (and when) the wife or daughter of some well known pale businessman/politician/celebrity dies while awaiting care for something preventable.

As long as these cases happen to "the other’ it is not a BFD to the anti heaalthare crowd.

When people migrate because of politics, because of the inability to be physically safe in the place where they are, we use the term “refugee.” We cannot survive as a country if we are continuously creating more refugees.

Healthcare should be universal, nationwide, and inclusive. Anything else undermines the economy, and the soul, of our country.

We need a nationwide right to abortion, on demand, without a lecture, and paid for by our national health plan.

The laws are terrible, but Drs are not without blame. Imagine being a Dr and letting your patient die because you are too scared of prosecution to provide lifesaving, standard of care treatment to your patient. That is SHAMEFUL!

For what it’s worth, here’s a song I wrote called “Real Pro-Life”: (YouTube link)

I want reporters to start asking MAGA how many milliliters of blood a man has to lose before his doctor can be 100% certain the procedure to save his life is guaranteed legal in all 50 states.

They can answer in ounces or cubic inches if the metric system is too French for them,.
