Doctors should have ordered that this freak be mildly sedated to prevent him taking action such as leaving the hospital to return to WH before it is safe (for him and others) to do so.

I agree that the doctors are giving as little information as possible. I do find it interesting that they are giving information about the meds he is getting. Assuming that they are responding to actual clinical observations, the meds are informative to clinicians. I have to assume that he doesn’t have access to a lot of the Tweets that I have been seeing, because they are assuming that the meds indicate a more severe case than the doctors are indicating. There is the possibility that they are giving him anything he asks for, but I can’t imagine that he is familiar with some of these things. It would be different if they were giving him whatever he has been seeing in his fever swamp blogs, but they seem to be giving him actual meds that are used for seriously ill people.

Life experience. They had to sedate my mom a few times when she was hospitalized for COPD execerbations. One time they gave her Ativan. 90 lb old lady, it took the orderlies 10 minutes chasing her down to get her back in bed. Like she was on PCP. She didn’t remember it.

Brian Garibaldi of Johns Hopkins is the head of the treatment team for Trump. He has an international reputation and is the leader of a team of pulmonologists and cardiologists at JH. Conley is the WH physician and medical spokesperson for the WH - very junior in experience and skills to the treatment team.

Yes, except that the meds are pretty safe. It’s not like doing chemo for the sake of the news cycle. The scariest of the meds is dexamethasone, which can have lots of side effects, though most of them appear with long term use. I wonder why they used that and not prednisone? Did they at any point mention the dosage of dexamethasone? Because if they’re humoring demands for the usual known somewhat effective covid-19 drugs, they could be administering a trivial dose of dex.
I’ll note they haven’t mentioned hydroxychloroquine or oleandrin.

Speak for yourself. I utilized the emergency submersible lifeboat to evac to Azerbaijan, where those lovely stewardesses came from on the inbound flight.
