Doc In Child Rape Case Moves To Sue Indiana AG For Defamation

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita (R) may be facing a defamation lawsuit after he attacked an Indiana doctor on live television, making since-debunked allegations related to an abortion she performed on a 10-year-old rape victim.

Good for her. These creatures must be made to understand that the outrages they commit against decent people will cost them dearly.

Frist!
Sorry, no cute pic.
And Rokita is pond scum. On his best day, which this is not.

Of course the damned thing about it: he’ll wind up using this as a fund-raising tool. (See, Trump - Grifter in Chief)

Hopefully, the case can be fast-tracked and she gets a bundle of money.

Additional: I’d like to see some professional sanctions on Rokita from the State Bar.

Hope she extracts a lot from his wallet.

Go get him, Ms. DeLaney and Dr. Bernard. Sue this arrogant SOB, AG Rokita for everything he’s got! He more than deserves it.

Quick and, hopefully, paid appropriate attention to.

Sue the son of a bitch into the next century. Then let the state pay the damages. Maybe ask for his law licence to be revoked too.

I’d like for her to be able to take him for everything he’s got, but it’s the people of Indiana who will get stuck with the bill.

I like that. Good touch.

The rapidity with which this thread is filling bodes well for Democrats.

The doctor is a private citizen and I was shocked that a public official would make such allegations in such a public and reckless way. I wonder if the lawsuit will be against him only in his official capacity or also as a private citizen with large megaphone. We shall wait and see. I hope that Indiana law allows for both and that Ms. Delaney cleans his clock.

What good is high office, if you can’t use your position to harm others with whom you disagree. The AGs spokesperson still claims to have done nothing wrong. If the AG is looking for a fight, bring shock and awe.

No pond scum rises to the top and Rokita sinks to the bottom.

(Pond scum was my nick name on nightcrew)

another entry in the parade of horribles. We know there are people whom the law protects but does not bind, and people who the law binds but does not protect. I hope the law protects this doctor but the fact that I have my doubts is a sad comment on the USA.

Here come the Three Stooges to defend Rokita.

Obviously fox news did not teach him on how to slander while avoiding legal risk well enough.

While I would like that - Does anyone know what are the ethics rules in Indiana? Inquiring minds would like to know which part of the code of ethics or Rules of Professional Conduct he violated in order to file a bar complaint. I am all for holding lying lawyers to account.

“intends to seek damages for security costs, legal fees, reputational harm, and emotional distress” caused by the attorney general’s smear campaign against the doctor.

I hope she has an excellent lawyer.

A good lawyer would do this for free. Heck, her INSURANCE CARRIER should be paying him.
