DNC Warns 2020 Candidates Not To Use Russian-Created FaceApp

The app was being promoted on Faux News website yesterday.

Does this Russian FaceApp have a name or company its associated with? Or is it just called FaceApp? Might be good for more people to know not to use than just the 2020 candidates.

Stephanie Ruehl on MSNBC just teased this upcoming story…that it is a security risk, period.

Spying today is very, very much weirder than in the Tom Clancy books I read as a little kid.

No one should use it.

Full stop.

The stories I have seen have been warning EVERYBODY.

It’s a honeypot for deepfakes, because you (I assume – I will not even look at the damned thing) have to fit your face within a certain frame and from that they can come up with some biometric data.

Scary shit.

Deepfake tech is frightening and everyone should be on guard against offering up any images to unknown third parties.

Americans are so stupid and gullible. I am beginning to think that we are just getting what we deserve.

Absolutely.

We need to remind people that the whole HRC emails thing blew up again partly due to the fact that Podesta responded to a phishing attack. Dumbshit.

BE CAREFUL, PEOPLE!!!

Training a Russian AI to do facial recognition and manipulation to create photorealistic deepfakes? What could go wrong?

We still do not believe the internet comes with consequences…

Spying today is the business model of this era’s ascendant technology.

And what other nation is less gullible and stupid than we? Not snark. Name a few.

Not really sure. Faux News has a strip of articles under the main part of the page called “Features and Faces” that sort of get into the Kardasian-esque nonsense like their target audience’s obsession with how awful Markel is (i.e., “OMG BLACK PERSON IN THE ROYAL FAMILY!!!”) or some instagram model’s latest bikini shot, and mixed into it was an article enticing people to go try the app that shows you how you’ll look when you’re old.

Huh. Perhaps oddly, I rarely ever go to their site.

More for the stupid rubes. They should just stick to selling reverse mortgages, gold, vitamins and survival kits for preppers.

ETA: Forgot to include catheters and erectile dysfunction pills.

LOL…not to mention their erectile dysfunction articles and erectile dysfunction tube-dress hosts. The amount of sex they’re selling to the retire white male is pretty impressive.
