Discussion for article #225971
âI donât know who she is, but I know they make movies from her books and theyâre not very good.â
Derp.
Smarmy, fast-talking f*ck, ainât he?
You lost me when you referred to Virgin Ben as a journalist without scarequotes.
This is CNN turning the tragedy in Gaza into a reality show. You can nutpick any topic anywhere and thatâs what CNN has done with Ben Shapiro. Letâs not pretend this is about anything more than ratings.
How do you, as a thinking viewer of the news, watch a segment in which one side claims the media is anti-Israel, Jew-hating anti-semites while the other side claims the media is grotesquely pro-Israel, Palestinian-hating shills? This isnât news. This is reality TV.
Reading the New Yorker last night, I was struck (actually poleaxed between the eyes) by a comment the Israeli Defense Minister came out with - something along the lines of âJohn Kerry should collect his Nobel and leave us aloneâ.
Itâs really hard to continue supporting Israel, although I firmly believe in its right to exist, when their politicians keep poking us in the eye.
Let the accusations of anti-Semitism begin!
Iâm not familiar with her name â you know, as far as her personal insults of me, Iâm not going to get into the quality of the movies that are made based on her books
Ummm, if heâs not familiar with her, how does he know about movies based on her booksâŚ?
As much as I cannot stand this RWNJ vermin Shapiro and the callous way CNN is exploiting tensions on the debate, I think Shapiro and Jebreal deserve each other.
I think CNN used that as an opportunity to show that neither sides are happy with the network, therefore they are being âfairâ in their coverage.
The two people they invited were just shills used for ratings. Pretty sick the depths our âliberalâ media has sunk.
How did Ben Shapiro make it out of adolescence without having the snot beat out of him, daily?
Shapiro has a talk show now. He sounds exactly like Daffy Duck and if I turn his program on while in the car all the kids do imitations of him.
It says all you need to know about CNN that they think Jebreal is somehow equivalent to Shapiro in the Point-Counterpoint game.
Oh, yeah. All of the people they could have had on to discuss pro-Israel bias in the media, and they pick her?
If one doesnât believe in objective truth, then I guess that is how it would appear.
Any media outlet that chooses to have Has Ben on the air is not a journalism outlet.
Despite the reality show quality of this segment the American mainstream public got much more detail about the Palestinian perspective than usual.
CNN, is pathetic.
Bennie the weasel, making his bones on the blood of women and children versus Ms. Jebreal, already a meme for Likud and the political-butcher class because she self promoted in the digital age, and then is denigrated further by a little prick out to climb up and drive the conservative honey wagon painted with Sharonâs face and an IDF logo.
All presented as an informed discussion, in order to generate âheatâ is absurd.
This guy has no actual substance, beyond hatred, so why choose him for air time? He should fly to Israel and go clubbing with the youthful âheroesâ when they get back from pummeling Arab schools.
The ones flashing the peace sign from their mechanized hot wheels.
Programming click bait futures?
Is there a right wing school where they teach the smarmy look that Shapiro has on his face? Hannity and dozens of others do that same look, the one that makes you want to get violent.
In order to avoid shoddy non-debates as this one, I watch Aljazeera for their excellent coverage of the actual NEWS.
