Laura was a vitriolic homophobe who even avoided certain restaurants because she thought they had too many gay waiters. So homophobic that she refused to be in the same room with her gay brother. Even though she later “apologized,” the damage was done. She’s a total bitch.

The story’s a little old for some, but every time I think of the Middle East, My mind’s eye sees br’er rabbit and the tar baby. W plays the rabbit.
“Stop talking about it”…sounds depressingly familiar…immigration,tax reform,Healthcare reform,woman’s rights,civil rights…issues that are important to Americas future…you know…the things that the wingers generally oppose should not be trifled with in keeping with their vision of doing nothing.

The problem is that small-minded people like Bush and Cheney don’t actually care about the rest of the world and they will have no regrets living out the rest of their days within US borders. They aren’t interested in global travel and global solutions like Clinton, so the fact that they’re considered war criminals in some parts of the world will never bother them.

I think they might pretend not to care, but it is humiliating that they are in their “glorious” retirement years with plenty of money and (in Cheney’s case) with a need to brag about their international influence and they still can’t leave the USA.

Never a shortage, that’s true, but when did the US become so populated by fools that the nation’s destiny is thrown into question? And I’m not just talking about voting Republican in any historical sense. The GOP was once a viable party and a realistic alternative to the Democrats. But not anymore. Now it’s a clown car, puttering to the middle of big top and spilling out hundreds of complete fucking idiots. When was the last time these clowns passed, nay submitted, a bill of any consequence? WHO VOTES FOR THIS TYPE OF LEGISLATOR?
