Discussion for article #224057
Politico, just another conservative news front a few miles to the left of Fox in the propaganda battles.
You know things are bad when Dana Milbank is the adult in the conversation.
Truer words have never been spoken. Another Beltway hack who I suppose is slightly better than the Politico hacks⌠sometimes.
With the reporting on this kerfuffle I finally understand what âinside baseballâ is and why people would be inclined to ignore it. Mean boys taking it public is all it is.
With these low IQ extremist I would say things are worse than bad, just plain rotten; Including Politico and the conspiracy idiots.
Ah yes, reporting from viewing a selectively edited video clip. Good job Byers.
What an asshole.
Milbankâs takedown was pretty epic. And informed me that Dylan Byers is moving to California!
Byers (no relation, thank God) got his butt kicked.
ââThey have armchairs on the West Coast, too.ââ
BOOM!
Byers and Frist: both accomplished remote diagnosticians.
Iâm surprised Dana could stop fluffing Republicans long enough to write that piece.
Yes and no. Politico appears to be trying to corner the market on petty infighting over nothing with other journalists(see the ongoing verbal slap fights between Politico and Nate Silver), so in that regard you are correct.
On the other hand, its a concerted attack to attempt to intimidate other reporters from daring to couch a story with negativity towards republicans. Doubtful it has much affect on Milbank, but if it warns off even a small percentage of others, they consider it a job well done.
But to follow up on my earlier point, working at Politico must be simply horrible with all the pettiness aimed at compensating.
Of course this is not the first nor will it be the last time that Dylan Byers has been demonstrated to be a hack of the first order.
Some things are incapable of change.
I look at Politico occasionally but less and less because the reporting seems so breathless and urgent but only for the next five minutes. Agreed Milbank wonât back down, but yes, the less established might.
Brigitte Gabriel, whose real name is Nour Saman is a Islamophobe who has been criticized by more than one person in more than one place. Dana Milbank was not the first, nor will he be the last. Dylan Byers who is a Right-wing shill imo, trying to pass himself off as âdown the middleâ wasnât even at this conservative panel discussion, so he couldnât give a well-informed take on it. Dana Millbank was correct in calling him out on it. Salon.com also picked up on what happened at this Heritage Foundation co-sponsored panel discussion, noting that the conservative think tank has descended into the realm of Right-wing craziness since former Senator from SC, Jim DeMint took over as its head!
Heading here to the basin? Oh my, intoned as Eileen Brennan to private Benjamen.
Politico is/was founded by a GOP operative as a doppelganger to FOX and Drudge.
There are real Hispanics out here, real Asians, real sub continent enclaves, even some white folks and despite Neal Kashncarryâs water boy for wall street schtick, vote (when they vote) for people and causes eschewed by VandiHeil.
So thereâs this nine minute video of the exchange in question, but there isnât a video of the full event? Why doesnât someone post a video of the whole thing and let us understand the entire context and tone that existed during the event? I would think that if MM has this particular clip that was taken from the livestream, that they were probably recording the whole thing.
I would assume that the evidence would be ironclad about what really happened, if we could see the rest of what occurred. Then we could dispense with this whole conjecture, and all the he said-she said debate. Not that it would matter to the Heritage Foundation or Politico if they were, once again, proven to be bald-faced liars.
