can we hope that when he does go away on his all expenses paid vacation, courtesy of the Feds, that he goes to a Max Security slam and not just a Club Fed?
donāt kill me
but the rich arenāt like you and me.
Gosh, rather than just commenting on the price of music, couldnāt Gowdy have mentioned why it might be morally wrong to raise the price of a life-saving drug by 1500%?
Then I understood; Shkreli is the poster child of the GOP. Heās not there to be punished, heās there to serve as the quintessential GOP success story. No need to answer questions, just smile broadly.
Ding, ding, dingā¦bingo
Well then hereās a āreasonableā response to both Gowdy and this asshole kid ā¦I say kids because I am considerably older than he is:
Shkreli won a WHOLE bunch of cool points for his showdown with Chaffetz and Gowdy.
Gowdy said he was āstunnedā by Shkreliās claim that his album purchase could subject him to incrimination.
Well, if true Gowdy is an idiot. Shkreli is, or may be, the defendant in various legal actions both civil and governmental that place at risk his personal assets. Monies he has spent, invested, lost, stolen, swindled or otherwise has a relation to could be attached or seized or have liens placed against them. Refusing to comment about anything related to his private finances or expenditures is perfectly understandable. Gowdy is a lawyer, he could dispense with the stupid act any time now.
Gowdy served as clerk for John P. Gardner on the South Carolina Court of Appeals. As well as, for United States District Court Judge George Ross Anderson, Jrā¦ He then went into private practice before being selected as a US federal prosecutor in April 1994.
He has best watch out. There is only so far you can go with shit like this until you go downā¦and hard. There is always someone bigger.
Itās funny that Fifth thing. Itās there to avoid self incrimination by virtue of your use of it you self incriminate. āIād go to jail if I answered thatā would be more accurate.
All true. Plus he still looks like a q-tip.
If there is a special place in hell for low-lifes like Shkreli I hope he goes there for an eternity and beyond. There finally appears to be one person who could bring two rival factions in the House together towards common cause. Iām actually surprised the GOP Reps. didnāt try to protect this assholeās business practicesā¦They do it in every other BigPhrma case where prices are jacked up to an ungodly degree. Shkreli is only one of a many that do this with life-saving meds. Perhaps Congress might want to broaden their investigation and look into that while theyāre at it.
Martin Shkreli = Everything that is wrong with America in one package.
Proving that nothing is more important to the health of the poor, the elderly, sick children and dying AIDs patientsā¦except for your money.
And I didnāt think it possible, but the smirking face of that corporate sociopath rivals that of Ted Cruz in its āpunchableā desirability.
And that heās cell mates with a biker named āTinyā.
āWe can even talk about the purchase of the ā what is it ā Wu-Tang Clan?ā
Gowdy was all excited until an aid explained that Shkreli was not Grand Cyclops of the Wu-Tang Klan.
Capitalist, Coward, Criminal!
I got no kinda love for Smirkface- he represents the lowest form of humanity. But what the hell was this dog-and-pony show supposed to accomplish? It is just misdirection from the fact that the entire for-profit world of medicine is utterly f@#$ed. Medicare is not even allowed to negotiate with its biggest suppliers. What Shkreli did was legal. It does no good to huff and puff about it for the cameras then go back to business as usual. If he committed a crime, indict him. Or change the damned law to disallow egregious behavior like this.
Pointless buffoonery.
