Froth around a pie hole is NOT attractive.
I’ve been saying since July that we passed into an alternate reality where the usual rules of logic no longer apply.
I hope so. It depends on a certain bunch of people getting off their complacent asses and voting.
I don’t remember which poster said it, but I agree 'the most punchable face in politics".
I’m sure there are real world examples of this, but since television doubles as my girlfriend and mistress, I will use a TV based example.
In the greatest television show ever made, The Wire, the cops fight, tooth and nail, to get the first drug dealer, Avon Barksdale, out of power. They succeed. However, they have no ideal what’s in store for them, because something much more bleak, dangerous and evil, pops up and fills the void left by Barksdale. Marlo Stanfield. I fear that Trump Barksdale will be removed eventually, I truly do…it seems to already be happening. But, Cruz Stanfield will pop up in his place. Something much more bleak, dangerous and evil.
Backpfeifengesicht
German compound word for a ‘face that should be slapped’
When GWB smirks on TV, my German friend Uwe tells me that he sees a ‘Backpfeifengesicht’.
Here is the correct link to the poll’s details and methodology:
Cruz is the only one f the bunch who appears to understand what you have to do to win in Iowa and the DMR is the one of the few polls that an distinguish likely caucus-goers from Republicans generally.
Did they happen to poll the Democratic race by any chance?
The Republican establishment may hate Cruz even more than they hate Trump, and that’s saying a lot. No one in DC is going to lift a finger to help Cruz if he gets the nomination because he’s pissed off everyone in that town. They’re going to shift their resources to protect the House and minimize the damage in the Senate.
These are the same people who still go on about Obama not being qualified to be president. After Columbia and Harvard (like Cruz only he was the law review editor), twelve years in a state legislature, working in a community, teaching Constitutional law at a state university, and like Cruz being elected to the Senate.
Ya who cares, neither one of these two ass clowns have a chance. It’s pretty sad that these two douche bags have an sort of following let alone enough to keep them in the news. Says a lot about how pathetic and delusional these people are. GOP has nothing especially in these two.
That’s a good one. And true.
Really doesn’t matter, winners in Iowa never go anywhere anyway.
Wow, it would be really, really hard to pick just one.
zzzzzZZZZzzzzzZZZzzZzzzzzZZZZZyawn?
I was wondering how they can poll for the Republican frontrunner using only 400 Republicans out of quite a large sample size. I suppose that’s in part how they got such a large margin of error. Something does seem odd here. Why not take a poll of 2,635 registered Republicans from the get-go? How hard is that?
Probably my favorite gif.
TPM:
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz now has a firm lead among likely Iowa Republican caucusgoers, according to the Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll released Saturday evening.
I know it’s a cliche, but this is the epitome of a You Don’t Know Whether To Laugh or Cry moment. Does one cackle with glee and schadenfreude over the GOP’s reaping what they sowed dilemma, or break down in anger, frustration, and tears that such a large portion of America’s citizenry has succumbed to demagoguery, lies, and charlatanism?
I am emotionally torn asunder!
