That will raise a few hackles, but the denial will only grow more profound.

Keep it up, Harry. And I wish Democrats would make a point of noting that people on the no-fly list can still walk in and legally buy a gun. Chip away at the NRA’s positions bit by bit, and start by using the heartland’s pants-pissing fear of terrorists.

As much as I bitched about filibuster reform at the time when it was a big issue among us Democrats, I’m gonna miss Harry Reid a lot when he retires. He often times is a real diamond in the rough…

From the polls I’ve seen, if you take away the GOP base, the vast majority of Americans support gun control. Dems should run on gun control in 2016. That will make it much harder for the lazy voters to claim that it doesn’t matter whom you vote for since they think all politicians are all basically the same. If you want gun control, vote for Dem. If not, vote GOP. If you want action to reduce gun violence, vote Dem. If you want nothing but thoughts and prayers, vote GOP.

Ha!

Quasi? QUASI? Why not just call them what they are. The terrorist wing of the Rethuglican party.

Quasi!? Harry you are being too kind.

Nothing Quasi about it Harry. They are one (of many) terroristic wings of the Republican party directly and indirectly supporting domestic terrorism.

Look around, it isn’t just the heartlands pants pissing fear of terrorists. It’s all over American, courtesy of 24/7 fear mongering from the MSM and politicians everywhere.

He’s taken a lot of flack here on TPM from time to time, but I agree with you. He’s going to be missed.

“President Obama said Wednesday that not all mass shootings can be prevented, but gun control legislation could “improve the odds that they don’t happen as frequently.””

And we all know how it will work too: after passing some common sense reforms like more thorough background checks or a registration system, RWNJs will go even crazier and they’ll immediately begin planning some mass shootings designed to prove wrong the idea that we can prevent them from happening as frequently.

The NRA is a national security risk. Period.

Say that, Harry. SAY IT.

The NRA acts more like the “armed enforcement” branch of the GOTP, Senator.

I don’t know, I live in NYC, probably the #1 target of terrorists, and I don’t see people here pissing their pants like they seem to do in East Hooterville.

I think limiting the ammunition is the key.
