But don’t real Americans live in states in the South or Mountain West? Why would you expect to find them in a diner in NYC?

Since we can’t comment on the posts that are actually about the comment system and this is a throw away non-story, let me take this chance to reemphasize how terrible this new comment section is. I don’t care what company you use to set it up. I’m happy to hear you’ll have less trolls. But why exactly do we have to use this awful format? What’s wrong exactly with comments at the bottom of the page that don’t take forever to load and clearly distinguish what you are replying to and keep those comments together as a single thread? Why this muddled mess, which also loses a lot of its functions on older computers like the one I’m using at work?

Why should Fox News even try. It’s completely fact free, full of idiots and an audience of senile old coots, and white right wingers who want their daily dosage of hate of the others. For this format Fox is rewarded by being the number 1 cable news channel. When lies bring in big bucks lies are all you get.

I dunno. Facebook was the worst one, but then that other one where you couldn’t edit your posts was pretty bad too. Oh and the other one before Facebook sucked.

We all know 'em - coworkers, neighbors, relatives, etc., that weren’t too bright to begin with - who’s minds have been twisted and further dumbed down from spending hours viewing this fucked up “news” station.

Livefyre over at TNR and other places works pretty well, I find. Not so much for the trolls, though, I have to admit.

Well, they are correct about that not happening in private industry.

In private industry, for example, if you’re a CEO and you totally f*** up, you get a golden parachute of humdreds of thousands of dollars. And if you’re a banker who drove the entire economy into the ground in 2008, you get a bonus of millions of dollars.

So, yea, totally different.
