Discussion for article #243112
“I hope that we focus on that note more, not just for political advantage but because the world has become a very dangerous place,”
But I am happy to use it for political advantage.
Translation: Fear mongering is how we win elections.
Stacks of dead bodies always give these guys hardons.
He already started with his version of “mushroom clouds here.” Pendejo.
The world has been a dangerous place for a very long time. Amazingly, most Americans ignore that terrorism has existed for at least two hundred years and that Catholic terrorists waged a bloody war that resulted in the end of British rule over the majority of Ireland. The problem is that most Republicans want to treat terrorism like a small child may treat a thunder storm- hide under the blankets and hope it goes away.
WELL it always helps to know IF a Presidential candidate has FASCIST ideas. It ALWAYS helps to know if a candidate has a notion that rounding up people, LIKE HITLER did is on his AGENDA. It’s for sure we want to feel safe and secure, even from the President of the United States. I’m not feeling to SECURE these days, who can trust a party who DOES nothing but threaten the RIGHTS of so many. FEARMONGERING is terrorist act.
National security: something the GOP has utterly failed to provide. Specifically, Shrub, who did nothing when warned of the potential attack by terrorists using airplanes. And who, when asked about getting Bin Laden, said, “I don’t care about him. Now watch this (golf) drive!”. As opposed to President Obama who got Bin Laden and who has prevented foreign terrorist attacks. Again, when will the media point out the GOP’s hypocrisy? I realize they never will but the media needs to be called out for the way it constantly kowtows to the GOP especially on “security” and “war” issues.
He still sounds like a naif who’s been coached into repeating talking points without understanding a word he’s saying but is proud he can get them out…
That’s OK just so long as we all recognize that’s all that’s in it for him. That man has no ability to solve the ISIS problem much less put a dent in it. He’s all talk. I do hope our friends in France are watching this craven behavior. It flies here, particularly on FOX, but it does not fly over there and we are going to need France and the rest of the world if anything is to be done about ISIS.
He’s a crass little twink. I’ll give him that.
how can someone who consistently misses his committee meetings have foreign policy credentials… being on a committee is not a credible credential for knowledge if you never show up for the briefings…
littlegirlblue: marco rubio, like paul ryan, is a mental lightweight. and these are supposed to be the intellectual heavies of the gop’s future? sad.
I obviously am not happy about the events that happened last week in Paris.I obviously would have been happier if it had been in the US, then we would have been focusing entirely on that note just for political advantage.
Fixed.
I am looking forward to watching Marco debate SofS Clinton. Rubio will try to BS his foreign policy credentials while Clinton will talk about ordering the killing of Bin Laden. It will be fun to watch Rube use his new found “advantage.”
Didn’t these shitbags spend 6 years being fake mad about Rahm Emanuel saying “never let a crisis go to waste”?
Chest thumping is easy when one doesn’t have to take on any personal responsibility.
because the world has become a very dangerous place," he added.

The Brits would call him a wanker
You can only admire that they have the ability to make the other people around them think they’re smart, and each word is golden. Ryan’s the best at that.
