Discussion:

Let’s set the record straight here. The law that came to be called “Romney Care” originated in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and was written by then Rep. Patricia Walrath, who has since retired from the Legislature. While Romney was more than along for the ride, it was not his initiative. It came from the Democratic House leadership.

Aside from your great comment, let me make an observation dealing with one of your terms (which I use as well):

WING NUT

Hidden within that term is a great deal of energy on the part of the person described. And that, I am afraid drives nearly all of our politics. Yes, President is the Prize. But so much of our government is Congress, Governorships, State Legislatures, other “down ticket” judgeships and offices.

And it is the zeal of the wingnut which commands attention. If those currently too distracted to care voted with the absolute zeal of the Wingnut for these down-ticket positions, people like Mark Meadows and Mo Brooks (if they were elected at all) would be debating types of alternative energy.

I read once where he considered vetoing it until he was informed that there were enough votes to override his veto.

Of all the misplaced sympathy! It’s 4 years after his losing campaign and the douche still can’t stick with his story past one critical Twitter cycle. Good riddance.

I never feel sorry for Mittens. He is part of the problem and part of what has destroyed the economy and our jobs and our middle-class and there is absolutely no denying that. He is an avatar of avarice. He could go crawling through glass in a diaper on the interstate and be run over by a mack truck, survive to live crippled, limbless and almost brain dead, and I would LMFAO. If that makes me a bad person, then I have a list of other people who fall into the same category and a bag of dicks for you. The Teatrolls aren’t the only ones who get to say they’re fucking fed up and express it in awful ways once in a while. If I thought I could be this generation’s Robespierre, I would…and let the guillotine party never end.

In answer to the age old question: They indeed pile shit that high.

I don’t feel sorry for Mitt Romney at all. All politicians of every stripe play cynical games, some more grotesquely cynical than others. Romney knowingly made the choice to bash the ACA and he is being proven wrong, wrong, wrong. Sort of like John McCain picking Sarah Palin as his VP choice. Now THAT is grotesque. Damn you, John McCain! Damn you, Mitt Romney!

He might want to be Vice President, for Pete’s sake!

Willard is just plain Sorry. Why waste the emotion on him?

Ahh…no. The pretty publicly beat down Romney any time he tried to turned to the center, until the election was already too far gone for them to care. One of his spox tried to go there at one point and was taken out back immediately by the right wing press for even daring to mention Romneycare as a good thing. The put an extremely short chain on him and tied it to the farthest right post in the yard, ensuring that he could never reach the center.

Romney spent months after the convention, pandering to extreme right wing issues, trying to get the right wing vote. He hired and fired an international guy in the same week, not because he wasn’t right enough…but because he was openly gay. I don’t ever remember happening in Presidential politics in my lifetime. And the standard answer from any extreme rightie to this day is still Romney lost because he was a squish. Same with McCain.

Pfeh, Romney never changes his mind; he has people who do that for him.

He hopes to be called in as the “White Knight” candidate at the Republican convention…

Grow a spine, Bernie!!

Mitty is exhibit A for the consequences of sacrificing your values and principles to appease bullies…he lost himself and what little cred he had by appeasing unreasonable fools to achieve nothing.
