You gotta love Gowdyâs âShut Up, guys, youâre ruining my gigâ line. McCarthy started the ball rolling, Hanna pushed it along by confirming and Gowdy himself all but sealed the deal by trying to minimize fallout publicly. As a D this couldnât be working out better. However I just wonder how much coverage the real story of political gamesmanship, dishonesty and fraud on the taxpayer dollar will actually get?
Itâs possible that Gowdyâs struggle to keep House GOPers on the same page about the Benghazi panel
in terms of messaging could be a symptom of the chamberâs leadership vacuum.
Looks like the Catherine Thompsonâs way of stating that Republicanâs suckâ in the nicest possible way.

Actually Gowdyâs from South Carolina, and Forrest Gump was from Alabama. Our current leaders are trying to raise Georgia to our neighborsâ levels of infant mortality, illiteracy, injustice and sheer idiocy, but weâre not quite there yet.
Remember when the GOP and the Gullible-stream Media were all agog at what a brilliant, no-nonsense prosecutor this guy was, while the rest of us could just look at him and tell he was a total goober?.
Iâve been reading lots of articles during the past two weeks that essentially say âMcCarthyâs comments on Benghazi expose the Republicans as frauds, and they will pay.â
Will they? Is there any polling that shows that this event has affected the general public in any way?
In which we see even more about the utter collapse of a major political party, through and through. The chief point from the Benghazi committee(s) is, of course, that the multiple investigations and their duration was always aimed at weakening Hilary Clinton as a candidate for the 2016 presidency, and for no other reason. However, in the interim the House Republicans have never been able to fix themselves around any agenda, save taking out political opponents. Exhausted from their failure against the President, theyâve determined that the reason for their failure must be some Judas within, and they are on an endless quest to take out their own party members. Gowdy, apparently, never saw this coming, despite all the evidence all around him for years.
âI would say in some ways these have been among the worst weeks of my life,â Gowdy told Politico in an interview published Sunday. âAttacks on your character, attacks on your motives, are 1,000-times worse than anything you can do to anybody physically â at least it is for me.â
Trey. Trey. Trey.
How can the attacks youâre suffering be a 1000 times worse than what was done to those poor lost American souls in Benghazi?
Focus, brother Gowdy, focus!
There are quite a few puke phrases that seem popular in hereâŚlike âat the and of the dayâŚâ or âin a perfect worldâŚâ But in this caseâŚthe Benghazi investigation âis what it isâŚâ
Hey, Trey, if you donât take that dunce cap off once in a while, your hair is gonna stay all pointy like that and youâll have a permanent cow lick.
Easy - they have a combination of arrogance and ignorance that causes them to overreach. They are convinced that 90% of Americans are on their side, when the number is closer to 30%. Iâve seen cartoon villains that are more clever than these imbeciles.
Iâm just noticing how the unshaven Gowdy is ruggedly handsome-- in a Deliverance banjo-boy sort of way.
âIâm just a poor boy and nobody loves me.â Trey Gowdy
Yes, heâs just a poor boy from a poor family.
Trey Gowdy has nobody to blame but himself. He eagerly accepted the role of high executioner and chief witch hunter. He pretended that he was impartial and that his investigation was something other than a witch hunt but reality has intervened and he stands exposed with just enough self awareness to know he should be ashamed. He is caught in a landslide and there is no escape from reality. He moans âIs this the real life? Is this just fantasy?â Poor Trey Gowdy.
Tomorrows hearing is going to be interestingâŚ
âUnless youâre on the committee, you have no idea what we have done, why we have done it and what new facts we have found.â
Yeah, golly, where DO people get the idea that this super-secret transparency-free operation is nothing but a very expensive political hit job?
Of course itâs about hurting Hillary. Has anyone even briefly entertained the possibility that anyone else (âŚsay, the Republicans who slashed security funding prior to the attack) might bear some responsibility? Psh. Itâs been 10 GETCLINTON 20 GOTO10 from the get-go. Who does Howdy Dowdy Gowdy think heâs kidding?
Too late, my time has come,
Sent shivers down my spine,
Bodyâs aching all the time.
Goodbye, everybody, Iâve got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth.
Mama, ooh (anyway the wind blows),
I donât wanna die,
I sometimes wish Iâd never been born at all.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning,
Very, very frightening me.

Think theyâll bring this up on lack of funding for Embassy Security?

Yes. âDragging his name through the mudâ is a metaphor. Thereâs no actual mud involved.
drag somebodyâs name through the mire/mud
to tell people about something bad that someone has done so that people will have a bad opinion of them: Her name was dragged through the mud after she admitted offering money in return for votes.
Drag name through the mud - Idioms by The Free Dictionary
That really has been the absurd part of this all along. State Department, under Hillary, requested more funding for better security, and the House GOP said not just no, but hell no, not on their watch. They have this as public record, they know this. The media knows this. We have the written record. We have the video record. The House GOP said no to additional funding for embassy security.
Yet they and the media continue to play this childish game of âif only we knew why there wasnât more security thereâ as a fig leave to what has clearly been a partisan witch hunt from Day 1 (And literally Day 1, Romney started trying to make noise about this the very night the attack occurred).
