No twitching fetal corpse GIFs though? Clearly, this is a FAIL.

Will Fiorina or Carson be the first one to save some money by just doing a screen grab and therefore have “SHUTTERSTOCK” watermarked across the picture?

Boy! Christi’s still a fat turd…He should sue his lap band guy (or whatever procedure he had) for malpractice. Practice Fiorina’s philosophy of not paying for failure…

Hey, thanks, Shutterstock. Why would we in the public care to find out whether or not the candidate can put together a team that has basic competencies like being functionally literate and all that fun stuff?

Why do these people need stock photos at all? Shouldn’t they be representative of their constituents?

This is what designers do. They go for the pretty without thinking about the consequences. One tried to use a photo with a competitors product in the shot and said, “but this is so much better than what the client gave us.”

I was once talking to a designer about a background image for my company’s Twitter profile. I mentioned that they had to be careful with stock images if they contained the Canadian maple leaf. Because it’s a protected symbol. There was this long 10 second pause. Apparently they had created a background image for a website three days before that contained it straight off the flag. So much for 10 years experience in the field.

Designers and developers all act like people from fox news; “we have no idea what you are talking about but here are some things from facebook that support our position.”

I looked over the photos and, yup, definitely safe for a Republican candidate. No photos whatsoever of people of color.

Another GOP safe photo…

Don’t know a good stock photo, but here is a stock video that the GOP base would find “safe”:

Man, Iowa and New Hampshire must be seething hives of scum and villainy, if they can only come up with 37 wholesome photos from both states.

Tears have welled up in my eyes looking at America as seen through repub eyes. It’s great. I wish I lived there too. However, this is what life (albeit temporarily) looks like in a big city, a crew working on crumbling infrastructure i.e. water pipes

Seriously? You mean you can’t use your flag to sell beer and guns? What’s it for then?

No, these are ‘safe’ photos, and since they’re for the GOP primary populations in IA and NH, they also ensured that minorities are scrubbed.

TPM:

Take a look at the “safe photos.”

I was really hoping TPM was trolling us and that would lead to a porn site or something.

I mean, really? “Take a look at the ‘safe photos’”?

What a waste of a perfect set up line.

Baby steps. At least the horses and buffalo were brown.

On the other hand, you can only see the hair of four people … and they’re all blonde. Not only are there no black or brown people, there aren’t even any brunettes. Apparently Republican Safe also means Aryan Ideal.

No pictures of the Somali community in Des Moines? No pictures of the Vietnamese refugees in Sstory city? And no pictures of America’s oldest mosque in Cedar Rapids? Only one word… fail
