I just want to reach out and…and…hug him?
I certainly did not mean to disparage him … Brian does an amazing job.
My point is that there is so much that is not new in today’s article, it may be helpful to many of us who follow him to put the update clearly at the top and followed by the history thus far. This would serve well both those of us following closely and those who have read his reporting as yet.
The eastbound I - 95 traffic to the bridge itself actually improved a bit. They got two more toll booth lanes. It was the city of Fort Lee surface streets that were gridlocked for miles around as the approach from the town was reduced to one lane from three.
So it really was “Mission Accomplished” to trash the locals in Fort Lee, as well as the neighboring burgs. The whole area is very urbanized so many people use that approach. They also waited for the first day of school which is a notoriously bad traffic day. 9/11 was incidental.
New Jersey. You can come in for free, but you have to pay to leave. (Except along the land border with New York State and a few tiny, out of the way bridges across the Delaware River.)
On the first day of the school year to screw with the parents and kids.Sociopaths all.
Proof that you can get a lawyer to say anything.
His father.
I’m sorry, but what is a “boro”? Is there the presence of boron in the governor’s mansion or???
Time for some disbarment problems in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
Can assure you that there are many in NYC politics who hope Mastro gets devoured in all of this.
the so-called Mastro Report was simply the classic what do you want me to write? - here’s the bill…
former federal prosecutor, Debra Wong Yang, who had previously described Chris Christie as “a very dear friend.”
If you are not familiar with the roles of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Debra Wong Yang in the U.S. Attorney Scandal, see:
" A sliver of this trove has been in the public domain since 2014 after being released during a series of hearings conducted by a N.J. state legislative committee. (I think I have about 50,000 pages of PDFs crammed in my Dropbox.) But most of it has never been seen by reporters or the public, "
Every page of it that can be made public ought to be made public, with the permission of the Court where necessary. It ought to be done on sites like TPM, with enough contextual material added to explain “who’s who.” Sifting masses of documents is nothing new. There are more people willing to help read and examine these documents these days than in the days of “Watergate” for example. Back then you needed a telephone book-sized stash of notes at your knee to tell who was running what and when in the Nixon White House.
These are still (and I use the term loosely) “Public Officials” and this is the sort of story that TPM should be bringing the public in detail.
Now, for the “skeptics” out there, take all this “duck, dodge, and hide” and multiply it by tens of thousands of times, and you might well have a glimpse of the “inner workings” of what a (Shudder) Christie White House might be like, especially when you amplify two small words already working their “magic” in this case:
Executive Privilege.
These guys are perfect examples of the 95% of lawyers who give the rest of us a bad name.
“They said they kept no notes or transcripts of the interviews they conducted.”
Bullshit. Then they are shitty lawyers who bill clients for EVERYTHING they do, where recording, copying, and transcripts just adds more to the final bill.
And Kelly’s attorney saying the wording, “for this investigation”, is a red flag is dead on.
They said they kept no notes or transcripts of the interviews they conducted.
And they seriously expect people to swallow this? Time for a search warrant and a SWAT team.
And the head of the whole thing, Mr. Crisp Crispie.
Is there anything we can do to help the wheels come off this bus any faster? I’m getting tired of having that vicious tool as our Governor.
They fucked with the bridge traffic because they’re fuckers.
From the top on down.
If you want to get into real trouble do something the average person would understand and get furious about. Give millions in unnecessary fees to pension managers and receive kickbacks in the form of campaign contributions . Cause a traffic jam for political payback … WHY YOU MOTHERF***ER!!! Have to admit I am more guilty of this kind of thinking than most.
