Discussion for article #240838
OK - it’s now become clear (to me, at least) that the GOP establishment really did see Carson as some sort of threat that has to be taken down. The fact that you have all the klowns now piling onto Carson for something they all believe tells me they want Carson out “PDQ.” They probably think that Rump serves a purpose and that he’ll probably self immolate anyway so why attack him now. Carson, OTOH, needs to be pushed aside so others who are more viable, can take the number two spot.
The Carson campaign maintained that Republican primary voters agree with him on the subject of a Muslim’s fitness to serve as commander-in-chief.
Well, we already know that, but also not all of them feel that way either. So it’s a moot point as regards the actual issue. Carson is really a nut on this stuff. He’s not going to win the nomination either. As the nuts go more and more nutty with their statements, mainstream guys Bush and Rubio will come back into this thing. Not sure if they will catch Trump, but they will likely pass Carson. Fiorina has VP potential.
Shorter Carly: “Yeah, what Hillary; who by the way, has bad hair; said.”
How about strong faith in atheism, Carly? Is that OK by you?
Bush is nutty… he’s just cagier and slimier about it. Carson is a true not but he would not be apt to involve us in a totally unjust war. Jeb would and approves of the fact that his brother did so.
I dunno… I’m not one to comment on appearances, because that’s just shallow.
But the photo attached to this story isn’t at all flattering to Carly, especially the hair.
I see where this is headed. Can we skip directly to the questions about which tenets of Christianity should be ignored?
Carly has cause for concern. It is unclear whether Carson has renounced the Biblical requirement for stoning adulterers since it appears that the New Testament is held to overcome some, but not all, of the strictures of the Old Testament. Cafeteria Bible Believers are having a field day in the Republican party.
To paraphrase Ben Carson “Under Christian Law, homosexuals – men and women alike – must be killed. Women must be subservient. And people following other religions must be killed. I know that there are many peaceful Christians who do not adhere to these beliefs. But until these tenants (sic) are fully renounced…I cannot advocate any Christian candidate for President.”
People who live in a glass Bibles shouldn’t throw stones at the Koran.
How can a picture flatter her? It is impossible. Perhaps a bag over her head might help.
I did think she looked pretty good at the debates. Again, I’m not tied up to appearances - there’ve been some pretty unattractive people who’ve done fine in leadership positions. It’s not a qualification for me.
It’s wrong cause naturally it will threaten the GOP’s lock on the muslim vote.
I think faith gives us humility
Humility shouldn’t be ignored … Carly is all about humility.
Carson should tell Fiorina to keep silent and then quote the chapter and verse or admit that he doesn’t follow the bible to the letter.
Agreed, I was not referencing who I “preferred” by any means. And I think with Jeb it’s more just that he is not too bright.
Actually Carson has a great health care plan. All Catastrophic Insurance paid by government and make it illegal for Insurance companies to make a profit. That would drive rates way down because the Insurance companies would not have to make the big payouts, plus they would have much less overhead. For some reason that’s not getting a lot of airplay. If his supporters knew those things, they would dump him. Right now it’s mostly religious nuts supporting him.
