Discussion:

This means there is forced exposure from unvaccinated kids to any one who takes a baby out in public or is immune impaired.

That’s what happened at Disney World.

You shouldn’t have to choose between Purdah and exposure to unvaccinated children – those children are a health hazard to the community.

Careful, that might help her in Portland.

Sure! But that would be voluntary, of course. The final decision should be left to Typhoid Mary, consulting with her family, astrologers, religious advisers, favorite teevee personalities.

You didn’t realize that a sexually transmitted disease (HPV) was a public heath problem? Seriously?

Vaccination is, in human history, the single most effective medical innovation. Nothing else comes close to the degree to which vaccination is inexpensive, long-lasting, and effective. The lives saved by vaccination are incalculable.

The only threat is parental stupidity. Parents, once they have become convinced that their little Snowdrop is too special to need vaccination, are very difficult to move to reason. How do they become anti-vax (while having been vaccinated themselves in most cases)? I think that it is due to inadequate education during pregnancy, and the use of social media to convey crazy ideas.

Now we have lunatic incompetents like Fiorina giving parents more excuses. This is simply unacceptable. She has disqualified herself from the POTUS.

I’m taking that the woman would also object to that nasty pediatric neuro-surgeon Ben Carson operating on her child as well – afterall, dude worked on tissues and parts from aborted fetuses to learn his trade – as do most doctors, I’d like to remind her.

There is evidence that HPV (which is implicated in cervical cancer) is also implicated in other cancers, like breast cancer. HPV is not your friend.

According the Wiki: In particular, HPV16 and HPV18 are known to cause around 70% of cervical cancer cases.

You’re right, it’s not our friend.

Oh for crying out loud. This women completely ruined Lucent Technologies, and almost did the same to HP.

If anyone, anywhere takes advise from this know-nothing, they are as stupid as she is.

And they should be waiting for the next small pox epidemic and polio outbreak…oh, that’s right, that doesn’t happen in this country anymore…carly, you have three guesses as to why, and the first two do not count!

If you are a woman, it is.

One of the leading causes of cervical cancer is the HPV virus. It also causes, mouth and throat cancer and the scientists are looking into other cancers this virus might cause as well.

I’d say that is a public health problem. However, fortunately there is a vaccine to rid the population of it.

Thank you science!

@MsM

Maybe it’s splitting hairs, but cervical cancer is not in and of itself a sexually transmitted disease. But it is the consequence of damage from a sexually-transmitted virus. Over 99 percent of all cervical cancers are the consequence of damage by HPV.
